Listen, man, your geo-strategy and approach (tactics) is simply brilliant! All throughout history HUGE Empires collapsed tremedeously because droughts and the lack of water, or vise-versa. Water management is crucial!!! The more waterponds, the life's merrier, as simple as that. I love the fact that you actually gave it a real thought and structurize every one of the sistems properly! Cheers!

Yep that’s exactly what we did when the rain came - go out and dance in it - put buckets out of it hailed

Don’t sweat not being able to keep up with the replies, to be honest the only reason I reply is because I get the added traffic helps get your video more attention from the algorithm. Again I like seeing channels like yours and some others succeed over the homogenized other Thailand videos that have to be all directed by one entity. LOL, seriously they all go the same places and make the same videos within weeks of each other, great to see some originality 🤙

It will be good idea if you can plant bamboo trees on border of your land it will work as an additional boundary wall for your property though it may take 5 years… Love your blogs quite inspirational 😊

Hi Ben, you are right about making noise in grass areas. The snakes will be well gone, but I just want to give you the heads up, there is one snake that just sits for hours on end waiting for its prey, and It don't matter how much noise you make, that is the viper. If I was you I would walk along with a stick waving it on the ground from side to side.

As others said, noni fruit. People fermenter and drink the juice for health purposes. Very expensive.

I used to live in Hawaii. the "Noni" tree and fruit (I don't know what it's called in Thailand) is used to make a fermented juice with medicinal antibiotic like effects. The Polynesians brought this plant to Hawaii to make medicine. The drink is definitely an acquired taste, just like the cheese. When it's fresh and just right it tastes really good. I used to drink it every morning when I had trees. It's easy to make by putting the ripe fruit into sealed jars. Look up recipes online. I highly recommend it!

You could utilize a few large Poly water tanks = 3 x 5,000 gallon tanks would give you plenty of storage for the drier months and with the monsoonal rains, they should replenish every year. I've only ever seen small (ish) poly tanks in Thailand, like maybe 1,000 litres max. Maybe a good business venture for somebody to consider ?

5:11 Nice call about the snake. But next time please make sure to bring along a long stick/branch and keep (gently) sweep around yourself while moving forward. This will make the thing a lot easier.

If you think that trench would take the water in and prevent flooding, it wont work. The amount of flood water is more than any hole you make. The only thing might save you would be a wall.

I'm learning that tons of land in Chiang Mai is owned by "investors" and they won't sell it except for at least 3x times the market price. It's crazy, I think we may be in a property bubble here but I have no idea. Residential land is already 120,000 USD/acre where I live 20k outside the city center. Not affordable or worth it honestly.
