@@MariaGasca-Reyes. They’re not paying rent or mortgage likely because they sold a home in another country (US maybe) and INVESTED that money in Mexico. They could have taken that money to any country in the world. Gentrification is something that I’ve went through twice as a homeowner in the U.S., in Florida. When you live in a highly desirable place with warm weather and beaches, etc, the word is going to get out and the area eventually becomes more expensive to live. Sometimes you get priced out. It’s not unique to Merida or Mexico, and something we have to adjust to. It’s a fact of life.

I found your video by chance….what a lovely home!!! I recently moved to Mexico from the States….bought a pretty nice 1,800 square meters house for a little over $3 million pesos….I love it here, surrounded by nature, just my property alone has over 40 huge trees, many of them are fruit and avocado trees not counting 11 huge palm trees…..it has a pool and a very nice yard…….it’s also in a private community….also, a beautiful river is just a few feet away from the house…..I’m in love with this place, cost of living in the US was getting astronomical expensive. Looks like more and more Americans are moving to beautiful Mexico

“Mexican cuisine varies drastically from region to region, as each area offers dishes that reflect its unique climate and cultural heritage. In the hot and dry north, beef and goat dishes like carne asada and birria are very popular, while seafood dominates coastal areas with dishes like ceviche and aguachile. The central region is famous for its complex sauces, like mole poblano, which is a rich blend of chili peppers, spices, and chocolate. The Yucatán Peninsula is known for its Mayan dishes like cochinita pibil, which is shredded pork marinated in citrus juice and achiote. This regional diversity not only highlights the varied ingredients and flavors across Mexico but also tells the story of the country’s rich cultural heritage through food.” “This unique blend earned Mexican cuisine a spot on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list, making it the first UNESCO-protected cuisine in the world.” México’s gastronomy is amazing and you have to be open to embrace it, and appreciate it.

Can't believe how they think everyhing is going to be better there. I love Mexico and if you have enough to live amongst the "fresas," you will have a nice life. Most American retirees don't have that much income. Also, ppl that can't speak fluent Spanish going there to live is surreal. Now they all have the added problem of resentful locals.

Asking God to help you see things through His eyes is wise. I am moving to La Paz in June 2025. I am asking Holy Spirit to lead me and to help me see La Paz, Mexico through His eyes.❤❤❤

We as Mexican citizen don't have to pay hospital care ,doctors or medicine but if you as a foreigner become a Mexican citizen neither would you.

Question, what do we do about medical care, I was born over in TJ but lived my entire life except for two weeks in Los Angeles. I want to retire and live there but I’m afraid to because I’m not familiar with banking, driving, moving my stuff/cars, etc. Can you help with these details? I want to move in next five years or less if possible.

Start doing your research and planning. You got 5-years to get it sorted. Make the decision you're moving here in 5-years and just start the planning.

Yes, Tijuana is just a skip and a hop to the U.S. You can always start doing things slow so that when the time comes it would not be such a drastic change for you. Dont be afraid, Your other home is just across the boarder.. Wish you peace in your search.

In Mexico we were able to retire with the money we had. If we’d have stayed in the U.S. we’d have had to work and hustle until we were in the grave.

solo una cosa, si vienen a vivir a México, recuerden que son ustedes quienes se tienen que adaptar a México en su totalidad: su gente y sus costumbres; y no México adaptarse a ustedes.

These people need to be asked for papers like they do in the US, and if they don't have them, they need to be deported.
