Yep. It's been ramping up exponentially because TPTB know we're closer to perceptions that weren't available before the internet. The more perceptions we learn, the more we see that we've been conned. We live in a world where money is power and the ultra wealthy own us. We see it now. Sure, but that's because the news is usually about stuff that happens all at once, rather than trends happening over many years. A bridge that collapses is news. A bridge that doesn't collapse isn't. An ongoing thing, like a war, a pandemic or an election, can remain in the news for weeks, months, years, because new stuff keeps happening in relation to it. The news will report on positive things happening, like a vaccine being discovered or a victory being won, but they won't report on the crime rate slightly decreasing little by little every year for decades because it happens too slowly. There may be a news story about a report being released showing this, but the data itself isn't news, it's context. The media aren't very good at providing context, good or bad.

As a profound narcissist he naturally couldn't conceive of how fear as an emotion actually affect most people, as well as underestimate severely the varied motivations that can drive individual action or excellence. Talking about a man that supported revolution against the king and then crowned himself emperor. I blame his mother. She was nuts. Napoleon was raised to be a social zealot. He was mentally ill, and arguably never recovered from being raised by his megalomaniac mother. We don't need to repeat more quotes from individuals that never had any morality. That never believed words to be more then tools to get what they want, and lies and truth to be perspectives according to authority. These evil and selfish people might achieve high station or wealth by being corrupt, but if the fools knew the true cost they'd never be anyone's envy or example. Everyone is going to die! The MOST useful college course that I took was 1999-the psychology of mass media-taught me how media works and how to be skeptical about it. The issue that I have is that when I TRY to tell my loved ones that ACTUALLY “this is what really happens”.. they either act like I am COMPLETELY dumb OR COMPLETELY stuck up and tell me to quit acting like I’m smarter than the news. I TRULY just wish that class was a MANDATORY high school class because I just really want people to think about how the world works and see the news for what it is-attention grabbing. ALSO, small town news stations are the WORST-currently live in western PA with WTAJ and can INSTANTLY tell the people who watch it vs those that don’t. The news is causing a race war that does NOT exist in the way they show it. Makes minorities paranoid that we all think like that and same with LGBTQ and it’s DANGEROUS to have entire groups become paranoid off of false beliefs. It very much depends on what your definition of better is but in my opinion the global population is becoming much less poor we like to think countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, gave extremely poor citizens; when in actuality their education levels are rising the decreased need for giving birth to 5-6 children without healthcare an average 60% death rate, is now 2.5 children with only a 20% chance of death with healthcare. In the 1960's most of these third world countries were extremely poor, uneducated and died a lot. Many people mistakenly believe that this statistic is still factual when it isn't. 2017 statistics will show you the education rate, death rate, food rate, etc. Is doing extremely well thanks to charity foundations and allied trades. The world is certainly getting better but it's subjective when your world view is focused on what stock is about to go up instead of working for $4-8 per day to get water, food, savings for healthcare. The life of an American is far easier to be successful with a small amount of help any homeless person can be an excellent employee. The world is changed for the better but our worldviews have not changed since 1960's where most of the world could barely get a $1 a day.

Every generation faces smaller and smaller obstacles in life, while being told their problems are insurmountable. The expression ‘mountains out of mole hills’ comes to mind.

You really can’t think of one thing that’s more of an obstacle today than it was in let’s say our parents generation? Like not even one thing? I get what you’re saying but what you’re saying is just not true.

Not according to the 4th turning. Although economically speaking, income has gone up tenfold compared to 200 years ago, where it was relatively flat the previous 1000 years
@nicholashernandez461111 ай бұрын
@@JackDaniels-ru2xy I will admit my previous comment was a bit naive. I should make this clear - SOME people are suffering more than previous generations. Some people are also suffering more obstacles of different types when previous generations suffered larger obstacles but fewer of them - one mountain versus a million molehills can be worse under some circumstances. Previous generations removed some mountains, but really they mostly just moved the mountains in one way or another. Take house work. There was a time when laundry was quite literally a whole day ordeal, while now it’s something that can take a few hours while we do other things. We also have a LOT more clothing than we did in the past, making it about the same amount of time. Office work was harder without computers, but it’s now harder with computers but for different reasons. Smartphones made life easier and more difficult as well, giving us freedoms while chaining us to them in other ways. The information available to us is both a blessing and a curse. Does that sound better?

If you ever find yourself in a worldview that both isolates you from those you love and makes you afraid and paranoid and angry about things beyond your control, please pause for a moment of reflection and let what Neil just said sink in. There’s nothing to be afraid of. So you then gotta ask, who is manipulating you into being angry and scared and isolated and what could possibly be motivating them? There is always a force seeking to divide us and keep us isolated and afraid. But we are all brothers and sisters and the sun is shining. We can’t let this evil win, we owe it to each other.
