eh your only special in this universe and thats only as a whole. the significance of how special you are compared to alternate timelines with slight variations is very thin. Robert Rush Because questioning for the sake of questioning is stupid. Good questions come with scientific evidence of a possible contradiction - which is why people ask MORE questions the more they know, as opposed to being ignorant. Neil said his education system wouldn't have people making these questions because they would be smart enough to have the scientifical knowledge to know that these theories are bullshit.

@@KressRudra true, but I really wonder what definition of "chemically active" he's using. It's hard to think what definition would catch these listed four without catching "polymer bonders" like boron, "intense bonders" like fluorine, or "multistate bonders" like tin or iridium in a higher position than one of the four he listed.
@KressRudra
@KressRudra 3 жыл бұрын
@@seth1422 he explained the definition: the top 4 chemically active atoms by abundance. in the universe, these are hydrogen, helium (inert so doesnt count), oxygen, carbon, neon (inert so doesnt count) and then nitrogen. sure fluorine is highly reactive largely due to EN and Z_eff (im assuming this is what you mean by "intense bonder") and the other elements you listed have varying degrees of reactivity, but by abundance it is clear what he means as some of those dont even make the top 20. things like technicalities obviously are beyond the scope of the quote such as active helium in disodium helide and need not be considered. also if you are going to research the elements by abundance, one problem i had was finding sources for the milky way specifically and not the entire universe, in which case iron would be in the top 4. my advice is to make sure its for the entire universe

“Man, you did some homework back there...” That’s what I really like about this show. The hot wings may bring the super extreme entertaining reactions from people, but what I really enjoy are the smart questions that give us deep insights into the person’s life. This show is genius. Way to go Hot ones!!!

Honestly, Neil talking about how we are the universe is one of the most inspirational things ever. He doesn't just say it as a fact, you can tell he means it in his voice. This isn't some dry, bland speech from a random influencer saying that we are special, this is one of the smartest men alive combining what he loves most with literally everyone on the planet and in the universe. We aren't insignificant because we are so tiny compared to the universe, we are significant because we ARE the universe.

I get that, but how can you distinguish between fact and bullshit when all information you're being fed is actual bullshit? There are countless children being taught nothing but bullshit these days and the ones that teach it pass it on as scientific fact. How can we expect them to make the distinction when they've been taught wrong all their lives?
@ecuhenry85

I think this became or has become such a topic when truth/fact became subjective (aka alternative facts). We can all agree "oh sky is blue" and I can be that one guy "nah it's red." Sadly with enough influence and followers there's going to be others saying "red too."
