We moved to Ubud Bali for 48 hours to live on a ricefield. This unique Airbnb is located in a remote area of Bali with no tourists in sight. What we loved about this hut was the remoteness and minimalist lifestyle. With only locals in the area working in the fields, you wake up to peaceful sounds of birds and frogs. Man I wish I was back on Bali. 6 mill IDR / month = $550 CAD / month . You can *maybe* get a dark, damp, cold, depressing basement apartment with flickering flourescent tubes and no windows in Toronto for that. The rice fields with the leeches, frogs, snails, rats, and yes snakes are an entire eco system. Go east to Sideman, and stay at a place overlooking the fields , you'll enjoy the views of Gunung Agung. Or go north and ride the road that takes you across the ridge overlooking Danau Buyan and lake Tamblingan on the way to Bubunan. Enjoying your vids, keep it up. You've got an entire world of viewers, many in lock down with nothing to do and a tourist free Bali.

Ubud has changed. A lot. When I lived there there was one mud main street, perhaps 300 people in the village proper. I also lived on the edge of a rice field, but in those days it was a five to10 minute walk from main street. One of my favourite restaurants- on main street- was so small it had one black oval tin stove and one frying pan. The endearing place, run by a family, had a menu of about 20 items. Enjoy.

Alexander White I have rice fields in someplace no foreigners thread. No rice is being planted either. We take these view or scenery for granted. They are ordinary. Until some foreigner raves about it. But in the case of Bali the praise is much deserved. While rice fields are common to me, I can see how that site can be so impressive. Mainly because of the architecture, which takes very skilled carpenters to build. Ubud minus the culture is just some town that no one cares about. (I’m just frustrate, because I can’t replicate those huts in my side of the world). But I hope to see a more simple design. Well, stay inspired and out of inconveniences.

Hello, I'm also currently staying in a bamboo hut in Ubud, Bali. Actually it's a few minutes north of Ubud, near the famous Tegallala Rice Terraces. My hut is more of a typical traditional type a hut...not modern like the inside of yours. It's new and it's on a top of ahill overlooking one small rice field and the jungle. Plus a swimming pool and restaurant. You can't see any houses from my hotel. How much did you pay for your room? I'm only paying 60,000 a day which includes breakfast!!!!! Crazy cheap!!!!!

Hey Putri! Thanks for watching I really apprecaite it 😊👏🏼 As for the whole Kristen Grey situation, I think she shouldn't be working or making income while in Indonesia unless she has a KITAS. I believe that is the regulation in Indonesia is if you don't have a KITAS you cannot make an income (correct me if i'm wrong). But from articles I read it seems that she was primarily deported due to her mentioning Indonesia is queer friendly. What are your thoughts?

(Honestly i dont hav any problem about foreigner have kitas or not, for me the problem is only bad behavior) Im really proud of what you doing, share the world about how beautiful is my country.. Hey, sorry, random question haha What's the Wifi in the bedrooms of the Wave House like? Seen your video on it and looked awesome! I'm moving out there mid February and thinking of booking a month at The Wave House. But need decent Wifi in the bedroom for work, so just wondering what you thought of it?

STUNNING, and serene as well !!! Got to give credit to those rice farmers. Without them, we (Asians eat a lot 🤦‍♀️🤣) have no rice. Ubud is one of my faves. Ahh, snakes! 😁 Cool !
