I've recently been introduced to the Mormon religion. My brain is more science than fancy, facts verses dreams. Then my brother provided me a copy of the BofM. I have been given a multitude of signs that God our Heavenly Father lives in everything, every where, omnipresent. I've looked for and prayed for a link between my science and what my heart wants to believe. And the Holy Spirit lead me to this video! THANK YOU heavenly Father! You've answered my prayers.

I am a Scientist, although I am still in school I am a biologist. I have a bachelors degree in biology, and I am pursuing a masters degree in biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic. ALL of the biology, chemistry, zoology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, etc. that I have studied have done nothing but strengthen my belief in God. I have had peers ridicule me for some of my beliefs, but the majority of my peers have beliefs similar to mine. I remember one time during finals where I was studying with class mates, and in the middle of the main floor of the science building I asked if any of them wanted to pray. Four or five of us knelt down and among my professors, peers, stress, noise, lack of sleep and others to ask for Gods guiding hand in our lives. I know God lives, just as I know Anatomy, Microorganisms, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry and many more things. I also know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is real and true. I encourage all to study the scriptures and pray and ask questions and to pursue greater knowledge, to never grow tired of learning.

@@kristinabaker4433 The gospel by which we're saved. We're under Paul's ministry today. Therefore we're not under the law of the old testament. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. And that takes us back to John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. So it's only by GRACE that we are saved not by works. Jesus did all the work and gave us GRACE (unmerited favor) as long as we have FAITH (believe) in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for SALVATION (trust in his blood). That's the gospel. Jesus said, Ye must be born again to enter into the kingdom.(accept Jesus as your SAVIOR)

@@JustChillin227 this seems like a little much, don’t understand why you felt the need to electronically throw Bible verses at her. But also, faith is a belief. If we truly believe in something, such as Jesus Christ being the literal God and Lord of us, wouldn’t we follow His commandments? Wouldn’t we do all that is in our power to become more like Him every day and live this life in the way He intended for us? Isn’t that true faith? Giving up our lives for Him, “He who loses His life shall find it”. If we let pride and arrogance out of our way we will have true faith, which leads to repentance. Giving this faith and then feeling the effects and seeing the effects repentance has in our lives (such as the ability to see the hand of God more openly, to receive His blessings and support in deeper ways than ever before as now we have the windows of heaven opened to us without restraint- keeping our end of the covenant) builds trust in the Lord. It allows us to accept Jesus Christ’s blood to save us because we now believe because we have seen His power and know the strength and limitlessness of His atonement. And this is the process of being born again in Christ or accepting the Lord as your Savior! He is our Savior now and today and there is no reason whatsoever to wait for the blessings and acceptance of the Lord as our Savior in our lifetimes! How beautiful and sweet it is to know the full gospel of Jesus Christ! Nothing in the world has brought more happiness into my life than the word of our Lord! Living His precepts is the way and I testify of its truth and the power of the atonement in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen.

There are flaws to the idea of only having one or the other. For example, only having religion and not science is bad! You can't get away from science, since every day we use it. We also use what science has given us. So how can you only live off of religion? Also only having science and not religion can be a problem for believers. Your basically infringing and limiting their freedom and freewill to believe in God. You can have both!

God's primary goal is to help us become perfect, like Him, and not give us a comfortable life. In other words, He's more interested in how happy we are forever, not just for our lifetime. There cannot be good without bad or happiness without misery. He lets us suffer only so we can learn to trust Him more, and value the spiritual over the temporal. I have felt enough of God's love to trust that all the pain and sorrow in the world is there because it is ultimately, eternally best for us.

I first asked if they believed in a just and fair God, I then challenged them saying that this so called "just" God did not exist. The answer they gave was simple and profound. True, true, and true. The more I learn the more I see that God must be. Even though I have a witness by the Holy Ghost, I see in all my "scientific" studies that all things witness of God and the light the emanates from him that fills the immensity of space and gives rise to the matter of my molecules. The 'God Particle' indeed, oh the irony. So, I seek to become quantumly entangled with my Father in heaven, to be "worthy" full of light and "in tune"; to come out of the static of entropy which is agency and be "ordered" and "finished, completed, and made whole" by His grace and tender mercy through His Son Jesus Christ.

This is where an understanding of the Atonement comes in. All the pain in the world is already taken care of and paid for. Every hurt of each child will be rectified. What this leaves for us is how we learn in the course of our human life. How we lived by what we learned. We learn best through hardship, we are purified through our struggles. And since we believe we lived before we were born, we also carry the knowledge that what we were born into we agreed to experience. It wasn't forced.

God governs our life with a set of eternal laws and principles. One of them being the free agency of man and the respect of his exercise of it. He has provided a masterplan, given the laws to his children (through conscious, scriptures and personal revelations) and the principles of cause n effect and law of harvest take place in the world. He can interfere in the happenings ('miracles') if that is His will but will mostly respect the agency of man... and let them reap the consequences

I love his analogy with your eyes different perspectives. God is truly the greatest scientist, I can't wait till the time comes that he will teach us personally how it all actually works.

I don't know what experiences you've had that cause you to feel this way, but as for me, I know there is more than this life. I believe with all my heart that God will more than make up for the unspeakable suffering some of us have had to endure.

I love this video. It's a standing proof that there's a creator of all things. That must definitely be God, Our Havenly Father!

Thanks for such sooting music during a scientific soliloquy. It really adds! To me it symbolizes the lack of rancor which is one of his points: as science catches up let's be patient, not bitterly argumentative.

God is a just God. He knows more than we do. Those people who starve and who are suffering or more stronger because of it. If we didn't have adversity in this life then how would we learn. We wouldn't learn if everything was good and happy all the time. To learn we have to go through trials. When it comes to my own life I usually learn when I'm going through a tough time. I think God answers our prayers on his own time. Just because he doesn't cure world hunger doesn't make him not a just God.

He does not kill them, we all were sent here.. we have free agency, we can choose good or evil. God does not murder His children.. we are here to endure whatever storms come our way. Those who suffer, suffer at the hands of evil men.. if God intervened and stopped every evil thing it would defeat the very purpose of choosing.. right from wrong! And their prayers do count and are heard. And as long as they believe in Him they will have eternal life!

i Love this video! when i'm feeling down, or looking for a spritiual lift , every single time i watch, without fail, at 2:53 i get goosebumps, and my mind wonders about space and our Heavenly Father's creations. I think thats what I love the Book of Moses 1:33 when Heavenly Father says " and worlds without number have I create; and I also created them for mine own purpose; and by the Son I created them, which is mine Only Begotten"
