I like to call it folk music. I was driving the other day listening to various pony remixes and originals, and it made me think of all the old artists and how they inspire others to create in a similar style. And I had the realization: "Oh shit! This is all became its own Folk genre!" folk mu·sic noun music that originates in traditional popular culture or that is written in such a style. Folk music is typically of unknown authorship and is transmitted orally from generation to generation.
