The “noble warrior” description for the Cole/Black match was so spot on
@TheAWShowUK2 ай бұрын
I know Sidge usually gets criticised for being an 'AEW shill', which is ridiculous. However, he can't complain about there being no interview area because it's not 'sports based', but then disregard when the commentators were saying that Malakai was 6 and 0 against Cole. You can't be hypocritical like that. I know hes doing this from a place of caring for AEW, but this is IMO extremely harsh criticism today.

How is that hypocritical?
@TheAWShowUK2 ай бұрын
@BluKyberCrystal because talking about the head to head record between two wrestlers is more of a sports based aspect.
@BluKyberCrystal2 ай бұрын
@@TheAWShowUK But that isn't the point. The record like that only really matters if the show is heavily sports based in it's presentation. They drove by that a long time ago. Which means it has little weight and thus you need on screen story to sell it. This is one of my issues with the CC. I love the idea, but it completely clashes with the rest of their presentation.
@TheAWShowUK2 ай бұрын
@BluKyberCrystal It may have little weight but that doesn't mean they shouldn't try, surely? My point is we can't say that things have disappeared, and then moan about it when they try to bring some of it back. I don't know, I could be completely wrong.

This show was really enjoyable, two hours flew by. Main event was very good, and felt like the old days of AEW when you couldn't tell who was going to lose. I don't get the complete panning of it from Sidge. Thought this was a 7/10

I was at the show and I want to say: this was a kick-ass show to see live. However, AEW production needs to step it up. There were no announcer cues that the show was actually starting and very few attempts to get the crowd into it during breaks. Justin Roberts missed some kind of cue during Rampage. The crowd was good all night, at least where I was sitting. I have been to many AEW shows over the past few years and I felt that even though the action was awesome and the show flew by, last night I felt very disconnected and sort of left to figure out the timing of my show without the help of the usual crew of people (i.e. Justin Roberts saying "we're on in ten seconds." It just kind of felt like production were going through the motions, if that makes sense?

I liked the episode. I will say it was a middle of the pack episode but not missable due to the advancement of the don callis vs osprey crew and debut of the hurt business on the mic. A mixed bag with adam and malachai we'll see what happens. This show would of loved a kenny omega return tho

Also I don't understand the criticism of the crowd, they were hot for the first segment, chanted for all three of the Hurt Syndicate. Aside from a little bit of quiet in the middle of the show, they seemed decent, certainly on what I was hearing and seeing.

Isn't it interesting how at least one show a week is always a company-threatening disaster according to this podcast? If Raw is decent, Dynamite is TERRIBLE. If Dynamite is good, Raw is WASHED now and their hot run is over. Handy how that works out for them in terms of content. Almost as if it's become a reactionary and disingenuous crutch for the pod, unmoored from any real perspective.
