Props to Malena for being open-minded and I guess the guys being good sport and acknowledging that non-animal food can taste amazing. Vegan food has made leaps and bounds in terms of taste and nutrition for stuff like imitations. This is to entice animal food consumers to seek alternatives and maybe have an easier time renouncing/reducing meat, vs doing it cold turkey (pun intended). Most vegans will tell you to eat whole foods, and unprocessed or minimally processed foods. No one will thrive eating beyond burgers all day, so again props to Malena Nick and Esfand for comparing the imitations to the "real" products. Definitely entertaining!

I'd love to know which vegan brands she chose for each food because each brand can differ DRASTICALLY. Loved the video as a vegan, made me laugh a lot. Also, for the record, baked goods, including bread, are vegan a lot of the time. Chocolate as well. So they've eaten plenty of vegan food in that category.

Well what we learned is that even for avid meat eaters, vegan foods are tasty but sometimes the presentation gives away the game. I’m excited for the continued development in vegan feeds and I can’t wait for lab grown meat which will fill the desire for meat that many people have

Loved this video and tigis streamer combination. I eat meat but i love to sometimes cook vegan because I don't drink cow milk anymore. I don't know what brands she chose or if they're specifically American brands that I can't buy here but I think it's cool for others to see what vegan alternatives there are out there and some of those are scarily accurate to the real thing sometimes

I recently bought baked goodies just for coworkers right, one of my collegues was retiring and it was his last day. But one substitute worker was vegetarian/vegan (nothing from animals, no meat, no eggs, no milk etc) and the stuff the store had avaible, very small section and most of it contained eggs. But I finally found some chocolate balls (it's like sprinkled with coconut whatever and made from like coffee, chocolate and butter and eggs and shit normally) anyways and that didn't contain any milk or eggs or whatever, oils from plants only and whatnot right, so I got it. Kinda expensive like 4 chocolate balls for 4 dollars/euros so 1 dollar/euro a piece. But yknow didn't wanna leave the guy out. Anyways he appreciated it a ton and had even told me I don't have to get anything since it's hard to find etc. But I did get to taste 1 chocolate ball that was leftover afterwards and.. Bro I've had chocolate balls for a many years right, I've made them myself and had store bought.. But bro.. That was the best fucking chocolate ball I've ever had. Like no cap, it was that good. Like if I used to rank chocolate balls as like a 8/10, they just dropped to like a 5/10 or 6/10 and this took over at easily 9/10 or even 10/10. It was that fucking good holy.

Vegan food is extremely hit or miss. Sometimes it's really good. One time I had imitation shrimp that had the texture of a gummy and tasted like a crime against humanity. That was a tough meal to get through.

As someone who is not vegan but has to be Gluten free and dairy free due to health reasons, I do eat a lot of vegan foods. The best dairy free cheese is the daiya brand, hands down. Both those Mac n cheese are the crappy microwave brands, the Daiya brand has to be cooked in a pot on a stove top like normal Mac n Cheese and tastes so much better. My friend who eats dairy normally cant tell the difference.

As someone who has vegan family and is forced to go to family events with vegan dishes I can confirm that although vegan food isn’t that bad it 1.) is very hard on your stomach and 2.) is easily distinguishable most of the time. There are certain things like cheese that are extremely good mimics, but specifically the imitation meat is extremely easy to tell apart when you’re familiar with both.

I liked the idea of this, but I think it was a failure in execution. A better way to do it would've been either blindfold, or even better just present 1 dish and then make them decide. So put one bowl of mayo. So then there's no comparison it's just based on their life experiences
