Ha ha ha funny you should ask! Well I had an obscene obsession with golden delicious apples during my pregnancy however after I delivered I never wanted to eat an apple again! My meal was a homemade Italian meatball sandwich with mushrooms & onions with a fresh Ceaser salad & homemade Ceasar dressing from my fav Italian Restaurant! I wasn't able to have any during my pregnancy because my daughter (in my belly lol) loathed meat & garlic! I was in Heaven as you could imagine!

Oh well this was a no brainer for me lol & you all might think, what, really but yeah, I had a Big Mac with extra sauce, lettuce, pickles, large fries, coke, apple pie and a caramel sundae! Why you might ask, well it is simple. I ate only healthy foods during my pregnancy! No outside food, no pop nothing! So let me tell you that after almost 10 mths that meal was scary delicious lol. Also, I have to add that I quit smoking when I found out I was pregnant, yup I threw out the pack in the bathroom at work after taking the test! It was the easiest thing I ever did for my baby! I hope you have something that is special to you lol or at least something that you were not able to have during your pregnancy!

Keeping you and Kameron and baby Kieran in prayers. Tell little man we can't waite to meet him but patience is a virtual. To enjoy his time in the womb.theres no need to rush growing up.We lucked out with our pediatrician. He and his wife were in practice together and she was in labor when I was .we bonded over our stay in the hospital as both our babies were in incubators. After that I just knew I needed her husband to be my daughter doctor

I wasn't able to breastfeed my 34 weeker right away. She was 4lb and 1oz and there were a few reasons. She needed lights for jaundice the main reason was because breastfeeding is a lot of work for a preemie and they burn to many calories and work to hard and don't get enough calories. I did pump breastmilk. Despite that she only spent 2 weeks in the hospital and was able to breastfeed before discharge.

With my last baby, my first post partem meal was the carbiest meal ever lol. I ordered chicken tenders and French fries and cookies, things like that. I had gestational diabetes, so I hadn’t been able to eat any delicious bad things for months and it was glorious. Haha. I had been craving Reese’s peanut butter cups and couldn’t have them, so my husband bought me a king size pack and packed it in the hospital bag for me to enjoy as soon as baby was born. Those were the best peanut butter cups of my life haha.

The only thing I would caution about going past 34 weeks is that temperature etc are signs of what is currently happening. If you have a fever, high WBC count etc, it would be a sign that an infection is already present. So you wouldn’t know something bad was happening until it was actually happening. I think that’s why they give the 34 week timeframe for delivery. Risk of infection outweighs benefit of baby staying in womb longer. But obviously creating a plan with your own doctor is most important

Any mommas who have angel babies that go on to have rainbow babies are some of the strongest women. The high levels of stress for almost 10 months!!! All the while knowing one bad day and your whole world could crumble. I know you gotta feel a lot of stress relief being in the hospital so close to help if something happens. I notice a difference in earlier videos to now your more relaxed and some to be enjoying more of the pregnancy since you have been there. Prayers for safe baby 34 35 36 weeks fingers crossed too always seems to help me

After my son passed and I got pregnant again I couldn't wait for the Doctors to take him early. I even left my OB to find one that didn't want to wait till 39 weeks for my C-section. I don't blame you for your feelings on keeping him inside you, because it is technically the best and I know that. But imo (not that it matters) but I'd say a little NICU time is really NBD if you think about what could happen and you know loss..it's horrible I hope this comment doesn't sound mean, I'm definitely not mean I definitely care and understand losing a baby. I'm just......idk. a little NICU time is ok. It really is. Lots of healthy babies have had NICU time. Nothing but ❤️❤️❤️

You are in the best hands and just take 1 day at a time. My water spontaneously broke at 34 weeks 1 day and I delivered that same day. My daughter spent exactly 2 weeks in the NICU for the sole reason of not having a sucking reflex and needing a feeding tube down her nose. But they never prevented me from trying to feed her first. However, you are also getting steroids much earlier and everything is being done to help baby get ready for his entrance. I didn't get any steroids until only a couple hours before delivery. Hang in there! You are one strong mama!

I believe it will all work out for you. 🙏🏽 My twins were born at 34 weeks on the dot. And they did have to have feeding tubes. One babe even had to take just bottles for two months. But he transitioned to nursing 100% of the time with no problem! I was amazed! He is a pro and he loves it! I also do with they had gotten more practice in the womb, though.

Ok back and have watched and Yay! I know he's still not fully cooked but you're doing a great job staying positive and busy! My eclampsia got worse on Mag sulf so I was told I needed an emergency c section. 1 Dr asked for an ultrasound before we prepared for surgery...it showed my son head down in position so they began induction instead. I waited 6hrs for some gel to soften the cervix to work before they added the pitocin. I think they did an epidural but I was so sick I dont recall. I remember a nurse asking if I wanted some meds to help relax me and I said no 20x. When my BP went to 247/129 the dr demanded i take it. Still said no,my sons heart rate was fluctuating from 25-140bpm which scared the hell out of everyone, there were 30 nurses doctors and students in my rooms. I gave 3 pushes and he was out, holding the cord in his hands playing with it.,which caused the machine to go haywire. Birth is so much fun after a scare like that....not! My anxiety was awful with #2 but she was easy. Didn't let me know she was coming till I was 23w and made her debut 13weeks later!

My niece was born very premature, and her intestines hadn't fully developed. She spent two months in the hospital and was tube fed for the majority of the time. But let me tell you, the second she could start feeding via bottle (unfortunately her mother was was mid struggle with an addiction and was MIA so no breast feeding for her), she LOVED it. In fact, she's grown into a young lady who still have a great appreciation for food and I honestly feel like those two months being tube fed made her infant self really love and appreciate eating. Her nurses caring for her even commented on how she was inhaling her bottles. So even if your little guy has to be tube fed a little bit at birth, I feel like once you can feed him yourself, he will LOVE it and he may not struggle as much.

From an 11yr former ‘veteran’ birth center nurse…and veteran mom of two high risk pregnancies needing multiple months of hospitalizations in antepartum (disclaimer…this is informational… not medical advice): Unless/until you have an infection (or other complication)…YOU are the best incubator for Kieran and his day-to-day development! Better than the special care nursery or NICU. Once admitted to nursery, babies are on a strict schedule and you have little to no control over SO many things…feeding, feeding times, and formula supplementation are ordered, even if parents don’t want it introduced. Go with your Mama-bear gut and advocate for him every day! If you are stable and he is stable, there is no rush to deliver. The less he is in the nursery, the sooner he gets to nurse…and go home with you. Wishing you patience and 2-3 more weeks of ‘boring’ days!!! xo

Glad to hear that you got good news about baby and your level of fluid. My sister went through a very similar situation when she was pregnant with her twins. She went into early labor around the 27 weeks pregnant and was leaking amniotic fluid. The local hospital wasn’t equipped to handle her care nor for premature babies so she was transferred to a hospital 2.5 hours from her family and our parents house. I lived an hour away from the hospital she was sent to. The boy twin in the twin A position was basically sitting on her cervix and blocked it like a plug. Twin B who is a girl was in the upper half of the womb in a breech position. Because of how they were positioned they knew it would be C-section when it was time for them to come out. Like you she did the 2 rounds of steroids to help them develop. She was on magnesium to stop her contractions and she was having hallucinations because of it. She was only allowed to get out of bed to use the bathroom. She definitely would have loved to have been able to sew things for the babies or do anything to pass the time until they arrived. This was pre-cellphones so she or the hospital couldn’t call us while in the car. We had literally just left her room and the hospital when she sneezed and went into one long contraction that didn’t stop and she was rushed into the OR at 32 weeks when they couldn’t get it to stop. The hospital called my husband ‘s parents looking for me and they said we weren’t there. The nurse left a message letting me know that my sister was in surgery. For whatever reason his parents didn’t call our house and leave a message on the answering machine and they waited until 5PM the next day to call and pass the message to us. They knew that I was supposed to be with her during the delivery and everything about the situation because we stayed at their house every weekend so I could spend time with her and also with them. They couldn’t understand why we were upset that they hadn’t called and left a message. I hated that my sister had to go through that alone. I spent as much time as possible after work and on weekends with her while they were in the NICU and she moved to the Ronald McDonald House and took the shuttle to and from the hospital. They spent a month in the hospital before going home. My husband and I drove down to help her out on the weekends and holidays. She would literally hand me the little girl who I took care of the whole time we were there. The little boy had some health issues at first and only wanted his mommy. Her husband wasn’t very helpful with the twins or her older children and she was extremely stressed and worn out because she didn’t get much sleep. I was thrilled to help her. I have always loved babies and little children and at that point hadn’t had given birth to any of my own, but I had had 5 miscarriages. I would finally get pregnant with my Rainbow baby in January 1999.

You’ve got this ❤️ My baby was born five weeks early due to being unhappy inside and she didn’t spend one day in incubator or anything else. Only thing was she had a tiny head compared to her body. We went home 3 days after she was born and that was 23 years ago. So even if you have to be induced early it will all be fine xx

Omg….the thing I craved more than anything all pregnancy was a rare roast beef sandwich. And once I got out of surgery to repair the damage to my lady parts that my son so kindly tore apart from all the way up inside to the very bottom…. I was offered something to eat and one of those options was a roast beef sandwich!!!!! And shockingly coming from the hospital it was rare and so delicious. 💜

Newly retired NICU RN here, the suck-swallow-breathe reflex really doesn't start till 34 wks for MOST premies. There will always be those occasional exceptions. If lil man can stay in till 35 wks, the feeds and blood sugars will go a lot better. Hang in there, Stefanie! You're almost there! Btw, the symphysis pubis is the joint you were speaking of. Sending my love&hugs across the miles.💜🤗🌈🦊

You are doing so well! You look so good as well! Your hospital is so nice!! The gushes are so weird, not to mention the lack of privacy and sleep. What a wonderful job you are doing. Hugs to you. PS....my 29 seemed is doing beautifully.

So sorry about Kameron’s grandpa. Sending hugs to him and his family. Glad that you and baby are doing well. I don’t remember what I ate after my twins were born as I had complications following their birth. I had an adverse reaction to the meds and couldn’t speak for 3 days, which freaked me out. Lol…but then I just wanted to go to the NICU to see my boys as I wasn’t allowed until cleared for my issues, so all I had were pics taken by the nurses until them. Pretty sure that I requested something good to eat at some point, just don’t recall. Hopefully you will have a wonderful delivery and can get whatever your heart desires.❤️

Hey Stefanie! NICU nurse here! Babies start coordinating their “suck, swallow, breathe” rhythm between 34-36 GA. Sometimes they have that good coordination but they get sleepy and can’t eat their whole serving and need a tube to make sure they’re eating enough. Could go either way but let that little peanut cook for as long as is safe 💕 Great work staying positive! I’m so excited for you to meet him and I’m sure he will be perfect ☺️

I can't remember what I might have got in the hospital, but once I got out it was McDonald's and Dunkin Doughnuts. So glad things are still going well. I just found out yesterday that I am going to be a great aunt again with my second niece.

I'm a fairly new "follower" but am just about caught up. Each time I see a new post I let out an audible PHEW. I had 10 yrs of infertility way back when. You look good, you sound good and sounds like you're getting great care. Kisses blown to Kaia and can't wait to meet Baby Kieran! Love! from your new prayer warrior! Not that it matters, but I just turned 75, but don't act like it. 🤣
