It's all smooth sailing until things GO WRONG! www.sailingnandji.com
We had succesfully crossed the Mallacca Strait from Langkawi, sailing 270 nautical miles arriving to Sabang Indonesia as the sun was coming up. We wasted no time clearing into the country the same day and picked up anchor in the afternoon to continue the trip south down the west coast of Sumatra.
The weather was light and we timed our pass through the notoriously dangerous cuts around the tip of Sumatra to perfection. with glassy seas we decided to keep going the 200 nautical miles to reach the first island of archipelago, Simelue. Everything was great until the sun set... 40 knots on the nose for hours and it only went down hill....

One thought I have is adding a rope with a float to put in the water well behind where you doing your ladder water drag so you do not have an emergency MOB to pick up while sailing. Looking like Nandji 2 is Sailing well for you and your family

I traveled in a diesel pusher full time for 12 years. If it's an electrical problem, first thing to check is the ground. Turns out 90% of the problems are ground. Would like to have seen more footage of the wahoo catch, clean, and cook. So much interesting content you could have created around that catch.

All new generation anchors are good, with the notable exception of the Delta which is an abomination. As others have noted soft shackles are easily the best way to attach bridles or snubbers. Most boats anchors are too small. I am a weight weenie but the anchor on the bow is the one place that I go very heavy. I have an 18 ton mono which is narrow and low with a small rig so low windage. I have an 80kg anchor on the bow with 115m of 10mm chain. I have never dragged or failed to set. It's great if I have to short scope. I always sleep like a baby and never even think about the possibility of dragging. It's not goingl to happen.

That is why I will never go for a sailing vessel with a steering wheel. Most modern boats over 35 feet even have two of them. I think that's a male idea. I can hear a man say: "My boat has two steeringwheels and yours only got one". Seriously, with a tiller you can feel what the boat needs on sailtrim. Besides, with a steeringwheel there are too many parts involved. The wheel itself, the cables, the quadrant, the chain and the gear. And...the space it takes. The tiller has .........well, you got it. Berry the pride and go for a tiller on this French boat. I am very happy with my girlfriend, so don't take this the wrong way. So happy with Bonita with her natural boobs. Always thought there was something wrong with her. That's now gone. And Josh. You are indeed good at fixing things. You'll need it on a French boat ☺. Marley is a great dog and little May is my favourite girl in vlogs I follow.

Good luck tiller steering a 47 ft boat 😂 but I understand your theory. However a steering wheel is not complicated and personally a much better option!!!!!
