I'm Africa village dude, in Kenya we call ourselves "Kienyeji" meaning tough from village. I tried Flatbed for two years...we used to do team driving with my brother, Carry Coils and Building materials between Pittsburg PA and MD then Ohio or Michigan....I cant believe a very young cute looking girl/lady could do all that....!!!!I'm saying these because I GAVE UP as a male!! It was TOO MUCH esp the tarping and untarping part!! But here you're doing what I consider "DEFEATED ME"....I swear I feel intimidated!!

Yes I tried it withRoehl transport Flatbed. 22 years ago. Little did I know that I was coming down with a disease affecting my muscles at the time. I did not last over the road. So much respect for her.

Great videos. Many times I had problems getting my straps over my load. So what I did was tie a string to the end of my load strap and the other end to a base ball. I threw the ball over my load then pulled the string to pull the strap across. It worked really well for me when it was very windy. God Bless you and be careful out there on that road. You have some really cute dogs. Like me life would be very lonely with out my hound dog named Tick.

Hey Becca. A truck driver from Ireland here 🇮🇪 ☘️ Recently found your channel and i really like it. You get some great loads and some big mileage to cover. I done flat trailer work for a good few years and really enjoyed it, but I never had to tarp a load. We would get nowhere near the distances you guys get to cover, I'm jealous😄 Keep up to good work. @@bigrigbecca Ya, I really enjoy your channel. I've got through a lot of your videos recently. Trucking here in Ireland can be fairly interesting alright, especially when you get the rural deliveries. We've got some narrow, challenging roads here. We use 45ft trailers and shorter tractor units here but there's plenty of places we'd go to where a bicycle would barely get past you. 😄😄😄 I've a few videos done on my channel from a few years ago, have a look and you'll see them. Especially the "Scenic Route" one. Running at 46 tonnes (just over 101,000 lb) is fun. 😄😄

The section with all the logs is called a corduroy road. it's there to keep the trucks from sinking into the mud when it's wet. Obviously, far from ideal for ride quality, but very common 200 years ago before the advent of more modern roadbuilding techniques.

You can slingshot the straps over the load. I watched a female driver do this over a load of super sacks with ease. She showed me how to do it and have used it many times.

@@bigrigbecca My Dog was really upset when I left her home alone for 10 days .. She rode in the Truck from MI to FL and back and was happy to be with me.. Then the Hot weather hit. I parked the truck in my Driveway .. I asked Lucky if she wanted to ride another Trip and she passed. Now they she knew I would come home again eventually she was not worried about me leaving .. I did take her on a few other Trips .. but she would rather stay home. I have a feeder that holds 30# of Dog food and some huge water bowls ..

Louisiana looks a bit rugged lol! Dust suppression is effective but not real water efficient. I'm surprised you ever get your tarp 'set & forget' using bungee straps. We utilised canvas tarps with ropes sewn along each side and front / back and corners which lets you get 'em tight as and provides enough flexibility to cover varying heights on a load. To each their own I guess but anticipate an ongoing issue. The puppies provide just the best cheer squad as they follow you via the open window from one side of the truck to the other🤣 The camera is working great and some on road footage is most welcome. Enjoyed.

Not sure if anyone answered you why they were dropping water but it’s to help keep the dust down in the second area. They normally use construction tanker trucks with big nozzles on the back.

Water keeps down on dust. Also will help hold moisture content in product. Freight haulers n most dnt know. U pretty tuff. Not many humans like flatbed work. Its work. Dnt know you but you seem be determined n tuff!! Also d water cuts down on staticky effect. No lie. N cools ground down. Hang in there. U b ok. As I said. Not many want nor can handle a skate board. Did you start your dogs in the truck as puppies? I tried getting my 5 year old Dane/lab mix to come with me in the truck and he hated it and could tell it made him very anxious

I started my new puppy out in the truck (the brown one named Zeke) potty trained him OTR and all. But my older dog Benji was brought on the truck when he was about 1 year almost and he had no problem with it. He knows whenever it’s time to head back OTR lol 😇
