Story about how I met the Hint Keeper: Around 2016 shortly after getting my driver's license my mom made me go to this defensive driving course, I was reluctant thinking it was going to be boring and unnecessary like taking Driver's ed all over again but it was actually some of the most fun I had driving my car. It was all about pushing your car to its limit while maintaining control. it was like obstacle courses that involved cone slaloms at high speed, hydroplaning, and flooring it on a straight stretch before hitting your brakes to learn how fast you can stop etc. Anyways, the instructor in the passenger seat next to me the whole time had this amazing voice, At the end of the day I asked if he'd ever done voice acting and he told me he did some stuff for local advertisements and that he was the Hint Keeper in an old game called Phantasmagoria. So yeah I essentially got to run obstacle courses in my car while the Hint Keeper gave me driving tips.

the combination of a dan and brian episode, the 90s mixed media game, and the interview at the end all come together really well to make such an interesting experience that i really appreciate. dan's able to relive and share his experience with the game and the studio itself; the game has a unique sense of storytelling, suspense, and nostalgia; and the interview at the end tells me more about horror and the video game industry than i would have ever learned on my own. plus the fact that she's still making new games??? i get now why dan looks up to her so much, she's an incredible creator and person. looking forward to the rest of this game!!!

As a former brickie, I would like to inform on Brian's remarks on removing bricks and their stability afterwards 57:19 - 57:22 she's actually doing it somewhat correctly. Some old brick work can be removed with a tool called a Dutch joiner, and due to laws of weight distribution, the wall will remain stable. It's how arches work. It's not entirely structurally sound to remove bricks from the middle of a wall, but if you're careful and know what to do, it shouldn't fall... unless it's ancient.

Honestly I'm really happy that it's Danny and Brian playing this. For me, Arin never really seems to mesh with the Sierra games when they play them. He doesn't have the attention span to just enjoy them for what they are. He complains a lot and keeps trying to be funny, and really just misses the appeal of these playthroughs. Danny and Brian grew up with these games, so they treat them with the love and respect they deserve.
