It looks like they’re a native Florida plant and you can’t eat them and they can repel mosquitoes! That blankets that she got will definitely come in handy in the very cold temperatures of Gettysburg!!! 🥶

We had a great time at that park. If you are a member of the astronomy club you can stay in the field for $5 a night (dry) or $10 night for electric. It is a great deal especially since getting into the campground is pretty difficult during the winter months.

I went out on the river in your inflatable kayak and actually did a video for our youtube channel. Trust me there are a lot of gators in the river. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYLUiZ2olNOiaM0

Wow! Your content gets better and better each time. One day we should meet up and enjoy our beautiful Florida together. We’re headed to “Camping with the Blues” near Brooksville at Sertoma Youth Camp in a week and a half. They have a few different music camp outs you might want to check out. Give Nikki some scratches from the Love Shack.

Beauty berry is edible and sweet, but makes your mouth feel dry. Only eat them in moderation as stomach cramps may occur. Jelly and wine made from it is more palatable than the berry itself. The crushed berries makes a good mosquito repellant due to 4 chemicals found in the berry. The U.S.D.A. Agricultural service has patented one of those chemical it discover that repels mosquitoes. The berry you have in this video is one of 4 subspecies and this one is called American Beautyberry. It also has anti cancer characteristics.
@AlliChuckAdventures3 жыл бұрын
That’s cool that it can repel mosquitoes that I’d like to try!!! An anti-cancer characteristic sounds interesting! Alli is gonna look more into these and I wonder if you can plant them? She might want to plant some in our flowerbeds.

This place looks great. I always keep two comforters in the rig and can always blast the AC if we need it colder. I would kayak there. Nice job.

I have learned sometimes I have to staple the command strips to the picture to help it hold better. I have more issues with them not sticking to picture not wall haha Looks like a great place to stay.

We have a canon m50 with a sigma lens. But now I’m just using the iPhone 13! If you put it on. A tripod you can have up to 30 second exposure!!! You should come to Florida it’s still 92° lol you can still keep kayaking!!! 🚣♀️😀

The name of the pretty purplish berry bush is Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana). And yes they will grow here in the Tampa Bay area. Don’t know if they are edible though.
@AlliChuckAdventures3 жыл бұрын
They are beautiful. People have said you can eat them but not too many at once. I guess they dry your mouth out. And I guess the leaves can be made into a mosquito repellent. 🦟
@rabbi62253 жыл бұрын
I knew people would make tea from beauty berries. Deer eat them, so they’re probably edible to us in the raw form. I also read the leaves are an insect repellent when crushed.
@AlliChuckAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Alli wants to plant them in our backyard now! 🫐

@@AlliChuckAdventures awesome. See if you can propagate some clippings from one you find in the wild.
