My family cruised on the symphony of the seas last May , and we decided to splurge and get a star class suite, meaning we had unlimited dining and drinks. I can honestly say I have never enjoyed/suffered through meals as I did on that cruise. In 7 days I gained 12 lbs….no joke. I feel your pain😂

Hi Don , Just some info on Grease . John Travolta wanted Danny to sing Greeased Lightning in the movie, but it originally was Kenicki who sings it on Broadway . So , it is actually the movie that switched it up . I’m a huge fan of Grease AND John Travolta . 😊

We did this on Wonder in December. By the end we hated food. I think the 3 night is for us from now on and maybe a lunch or 2. Just imagine if Harmony had playmakers. You would be more stuffed.

We also did the UDP on Harmony in August. Never again for us. Way too much food! We really prefer the grazing method when eating on a cruise. I’m good with the buffet, park and promenade cafe etc. I can’t control myself in the specialty restaurants lol.

Thank you for your videos!!! We just got off Harmony, hmmm it’s definitely not my favorite but the crew was wonderful! We got on the ship at 11am went directly to book hibachi. Could not get any reservations., completely booked, It was such a bummer as we were there celebrating two grandchildren turning 16. The ship was packed and not the cleanest. Out of 19, 14 of us ended up sick 😷. Symphony and Odyssey still remain my favorite! 💗

Hi Don. Took my family on 'Anthem of the Seas' in March. Had similar dining experience. Specialty dining at Jamie's, Izumi, & Chops. Took advantage of the MyTime dining options in American Icon, LeGrande, & Silk restaurants. By the time we hit Sorrentos for pizza, Promenade for pastries & cookies, the DogHousre, & Windjammer for everything it offers - OMG - you could have rolled us home. Service was outstanding. We saw 'We will rock you, Spectra's Cabaret, Frankie with the Dreamers, & the In Concert' shows. All were fantastic. Our Kennedy Space Center tour was cancelled due to a COVID alert there, but the CocoaCay waterpark, Blue Lagoon dolphin swim, snorkeling excursion, & Nassau sightseeing / gift shopping adventures gave us priceless lifetime memories.

We were on Harmony during Halloween so, they did one long parade at night to include any children that were dressed for the occasion. We enjoyed Grease, the aqua show timeline, the ice skating show 1887 and they did Their own production of a musical /play titled, Columbus.

Your story reminds me of the time I was on a Princess Caribbean cruise as a teen... it was the last day on the ship and I wanted to hang with friends. So we did the unlimited dining for hours, just eating whatever. And then the people who ran the kids zone invited us for dinner, after we had stuffed our faces for hours. I needed a vomitorium or something, I could barely eat it all. I think the only way I survived was because I was a teen, couldn't imagine doing that even in my 30s. But it's cruising, enjoy yourself!

Just like a seal at Sea World!!! Cruise eating should be an Olympic event, complete with coaches and strategy. Of course, Drink Package Bar Crawl and Stumble, could be considered also. Grease is always great to see on a cruise. Saw a typical but fun production on an NCL cruise many years ago.

The parades on RCL have been awful since they eliminated the DreamWorks characters. We loved the Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar parades and meet and greets with Shrek, Princess Fiona and Donkey, King Julian etc. It was a lot of fun. Glad I got a picture with King Julian before he was fired. 😁

That's why my wife and I generally eat light for lunch or even skip depending on what's going on, because I made that mistake booking a real lunch and dinner too close to each other and it lessened the dinner experience because we weren't even hungry.

My daughter and I did the unlimited dining package on Symphony of the seas. Not sure we'd do again. We didnt make all our reservations for some of the reasons you mentioned (just too full). The one restaurant we loved and which surprised me, was 150 Central Park! It was decadent! Soooo good! Enjoy your time with your nephews! How fun! We want video of the jet skiing!!!!! (and nice catch btw!)

It appears the grease differences you referenced were actually from the original grease. They changed it for the movie. I saw the original cast of grease off broadway before it went to broadway.

We cruised this year on the Harmony b2b in Sept. Very disappointed in the food in the MDR, Windjammer. 1st night a lot of complaints. Found the venues for the crowd on this ship were too small.

Because everyone that didn't cruise for 18 to 24 months are back to cruising. If you check cruises from the first quarter of 2024 you will find that many have balconies already sold out. And that the new Icon of the Seas sold out in less than a couple days.

Yeah you have to be careful about that. I’ve always done the All Dining plan on the Oasis class ships. You have to pace yourself when you eat. Isumi is your fav? Really? Nothing holds a candle to Hooked in my opinion.

On our Adventure cruise we just got off of yesterday 11-14-22, most of the movies we wanted to see were at 7pm while we were eating dinner. Some were poolside during the day, but the pool area was so crowded and loud, that we didn't think we could enjoy watching them. One that was at 10:30pm was the Top Gun Maverick movie, but we didn't think we could stay up that late to watch it. We also couldn't ever make it to the ice skating show. I do like that Adventure did have movies for entertainment besides the comedian and Invitation to Dance shows that were scheduled at night after dinner. We did watch the newest Downton Abbey movie, but since I'd never seen the TV series, I wasn't invested in the characters and I found it to be boring. I really regret we didn't have a chance to see the Cirque du Soleil movie. I wish they'd had more movies at various times during the day in the Lyric Theater.

My big mistake on the Prima last week was eating the beef wellington they gave me without saying anything when I ordered prime rib. Life is hard. We did 4 nights specialty dining. Was great. We do one meal a day normally on our keto diet and enjoy fine dining much more that way.

There were songs from the original play that were not included in the movie. I don’t know if “Hopelessly Devoted to You” was included in the play that you watched, but if is not a song included in the original play. It was written for Olivia Newton John because in her contract she was allowed to do one solo.

Grease facts: In the movie, Danny Zuko sings Greased Lightning. In the original Broadway play, Zenickie sings it. Jeff Conaway was cast as Zenickie in the movie because he sang it on Broadway and they wanted someone who already knew the piece. Of course, they changed it.
