It's great that y'all talked about not using someone's voice without their permission. Especially with AI devs trying to find shoddy workarounds, it's nice seeing y'all talk about Voice Acting as a good way to do character voices without disrespecting the creator. The finished product is amazing, & I hope Alex sees it eventually!

Its also amazing because not only does AI suck, but impressions are amazing! Doing impressions and voices has been such a big part of internet fandom for years, and i hate to see it slowly being replaced by AI! I will take a million shitty impressions done by 11 year olds over a video voiced by AI any day. "Well its just a meme, so why does it matter if i used an AI voice, its just for fun" no! Try your best to do the voice yourself, or ask a friend! It doesnt matter if it doesnt sound like the character as much as the AI does, at least its got soul to it.

@@AngelusNielson @XemeraldXD Exactly. AI is meant to be an assisting tool, not something to replace an entire part of the process. By tool, I mean like using your own model trained on consented artwork for subpar results just for the sake of visual inspiration, when talking about things like art & design. Crossing the boundary is trying to use the AI artwork in the final product instead of creating your own design based on reference from a mix of said homebrew AI references & other viable reference material. All that gets thrown out the window when talking about voice acting, though. Unless the person gives consent for subpar AI voice cloning, there's no valid reason to avoid either doing a placeholder voice yourself, or getting someone else to. AI is a tool, not an art form.
