Who's made their own rig? What'd you use for your smoke chamber?

My granddad made one using a 55-gallon drum. He smokes a turkey in it every Christmas.

My husband, Granddaughter and I visited Lewis barbecue in Charleston and there is nothing like it. I want to visit Charleston again just for the barbecue. It literally melts in your mouth. Being from Tennessee we have barbecue restaurants on every corner, but none of them compare to the Lewis barbecue.

I am from Atlanta but find my way to Charleston periodically and always, without fail, make it to Lewis BBQ. I am a BBQ fan, and have never come across a place that does both pork, brisket AND the sides so damn well. This is my favorite BBQ place in the southeast. Period.

BBQ brisket isn't BBQ. Sorry guys I'm from Memphis. Pulled pork slow cooked is Memphis BBQ.
