@@DoeFamilyAlbumthey recently recalled some cashew brittle bits.

Basically the cashew brittle bits are just fine but had to be recalled due to undeclared peanuts. So if you're not allergic to peanuts there is nothing wrong with these brittle bits.
@HerculesCandy5 жыл бұрын
The recall was for cashew brittle bits due to undeclared peanuts and thanks to the early warning we got from alert customer, Kim C., only 15 bags were sold. The rest were pulled from the shelf and destroyed. I know it's sad that they had to be destroyed, but that is New York state law. This is the posting from our Facebook page: PRODUCT RECALL: CASHEW BRITTLE BITS Hercules Candy is voluntarily recalling Cashew Brittle Bits with a Best By date of 07/14/19 due to undeclared peanuts. The Cashew Brittle Bits are packed in a clear 4 ounce bag with a barcode number of 00369. If you have purchased this product, please return it to us for a full refund or destroy it. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter and please contact me at this number (315-463-4339) if you have any questions. I apologize for any inconvenience.

I've said it before, but it's so satisfying watching a giant chunk of melted candy being smothered around like that. And Craig, if you ever find the time you should really start recording the everyday shenanigans over at the Willy Wonka factory and put it out as a podcast. One can just listen to y'all chit chat all day and never get bored:)

Chocolate covered cashew brittle! That means the awesome bubbling when baking soda is added Plus Max and the enrober!!🙌❤ Joe said MASTICATE! I giggled because I'm childish🙈🤣 Craig are you totally in the way filming or are you zooming in from a safe distance? The taste test at the end!😂 Max and Joe are really good at describing things!😄👌💚

@AdrielGSILVA5 жыл бұрын
Here in Brazil there's a candy very similar to brittle. It's called "pé de moleque" (in translation boy's foot). I think the big difference is that we just make the peanut version and it's very hard due to baking soda not being added to the hard candy mixture, other than that I think there is more peanut in the batch to make it easier to bite. We also have the "pé de moça" version too (in translation girl's foot) that is a lot more creamier and it's not at all a brittle. I think the mixture is of caramelized condensed milk and peanuts, but i'm not very sure myself.
