I visited Ushuaia two years ago and was surprised how Scandinavian the town looked. What I appreciated the most about Argentina is one card, SUBE, for public transportation being used all over the country instead of limited to one town. It was so damn convenient for the tourists travelling all over Argentina and not worrying about buying the separate cards in different cities and towns.

Regarding previous comments about complaining, you guys sharing ALL the aspects of your adventures make it real and much more like we are really a part of the trip. Please continue. How disappointed we would be if we personally encountered problems on our trip thinking things were perfect all the time

How absolutely BEAUTIFUL your coffee view was! I love that place! It reminds me of the fishing villages of Norway, or at times, Alaska. Just stunning. I absolutely love this place. Also cool... in Ushuaia, you are as far from Buenos Aires as New York is from Los Angeles.

I'm not complaining about the misfortunes y'all have been dealt with. Sometimes we mess up and then on top of that, sometimes things don't work out. Your fight moment reminded me of my hubby and me during our first 3 years of marriage. Dealing with stressful moments comes better with time and the obviously true with the both of you cause now you guys seem like a pro to handle challenges.

Patagonia's summer is Canada's winter. The far north of Canada (and Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, and Alaska) experiences pretty much 24 hours of darkness the same time you are experiencing super long daylight.

Ushuaia seems magical. I am Finnish, and I guess the climate is a little similar, it's just all upside down, meaning when it's winter in Finland it's summer in south Argentina. I just find that very interesting.

What a cool place! Thanks for sharing, and I'm looking forward to watching your adventures in Patagonia! I plan to visit one day in the not so distant years as well. p.s. I'm a Nashville, TN native from four decades ago. My parents were early "travelers", so I only experienced my first few months of life there (I don't remember them). I've been back to TN many times over the years to visit family and love spending time Nashville as well. That said, I'm 100% sure Patagonia is more exciting and I can't wait to visit. Have fun and shoot lots of video!

You guys should've gone to Ushuaia in September! September is one of Ushuaia's peak season, as it is almost the end of the ski resort's season and when kids in private schools usually get vacation, so it is FILLED with tourists. And you can also go skiing in september!

I've been attempting to plan a trip down there ever since I went to the northernmost settlement in Longyearbyen, Svalbard. I feel like the southernmost is an absolute requirement now lol. I'm looking at the southern explorations website...did you guys do one of the Patagonia trips listed or set up a custom one?
@JP-xo6bp7 жыл бұрын
The southernmost settlement in South America is Puerto Williams, Chile located on the south bank of the Beagle Channel.
@scottheaneyphotography7 жыл бұрын
Juan Pablo SD You're correct. In terms of settlement, yes. In terms of 'city' based on population size, Ushuaia is. Unfortunately due to border crossings, it's annoyingly expensive to go from one to the other even though it's a short ferry ride
@JP-xo6bp7 жыл бұрын
If you consider a place with a population of 70,000 a city then yes, Ushuaia is just that. Although most people agree that the southernmost city is Punta Arenas, also located in Chile.
@scottheaneyphotography7 жыл бұрын
Juan Pablo SD I know 3 or 4 places market themselves as "southernmost" place for tourism purposes. They're definitely all different sizes though, so I guess it is semantics as to what is considered a city or town or whatever. I know that strictly based on latitude with a permanent population puerto Williams wins
@FabianGonzalez-xo5wz7 жыл бұрын
JP St'denis Usuhaia meets the city´s requirements. Punta Arena population is 125000. It's not the big deal either

They made up their minds And they started packing They left before the sun came up that day An exit to eternal summer slacking But where were they going without ever Knowing the way? They drank up the wine And they got to talking They now had more important things to say And when the car broke down they started walking Where were they going without ever Knowing the way? Anyone can see the road that they walk on Is paved in gold And it's always summer They'll never get cold They'll never get hungry They'll never get old and grey You can see their shadows wandering off somewhere They won't make it home But they really don't care They wanted the highway They're happier there today, today Their children woke up And they couldn't find them They left before the sun came up that day They just drove off and left it all behind 'em But where were they going without ever Knowing the way?
