If you guys do it again, you should tweak it so that rolls make extra wacky stuff happen, instead of making normal stuff not happen. Maybe instead of failing to buy an item completely, an opponent forces you to buy an item of their choice? Maybe do a roll for each minigame and give a random person a random punishment (wait for 5 seconds, play one-handed/with feet/with oven mitts, play while eating/singing/jumping/doing a speech etc). Otherwise, instead of a crazy game, it just turns into a game where nobody gets anything done. Also, Mario Party 3 might work a little better for this! You get to make more choices and the boards move a lot faster.

Can't wait for Sophist to cast Thunder Spell on everybody after crit failing multiple times in Mario Party D&D lmao. Some suggestions for doing this next time: if someone lands on Bowser, anything below 10 on the next roll is either a crit fail or you're forced to give up one of your items or stars next possible turn. If someone lands on an event space, based on what happens on the event space, you either gain another advantage or disadvantage. Otherwise, great video!

Additional rule: in the shop you have to role. 1-4 you can’t buy anything, 5-8 the other players can ban you from choosing any item besides 1. 9-12 they get to ban all but 2. 13-16 they get to ban only 1 item. 17-20 you get to choose.

Last place Mario Party could be fun, a few rules: 1) stars must be purchased if can afford 2) strategically sabotaging yourself while boosting the other players 3) either compete for last in mini games or for first (think either can be fun) 4) whatever else you all decide.

It may not be as fun to do as rolling a pillow, but using an actual D20 would remove the possibility of it rolling on edge.

With buying items from the shop, I think the number you have to roll should be equal to the price. For example, if you want to buy a skeleton key, which is 3 coins, you would have to role 3 or higher.

@Pyro03333 Well, those rules can be changed. I've seen suggestions to lower the "use item" check to 5 and to get 3 chances to get a 15 for a Star.

Actually, the keys canonically don't like it when you use them to unlock the door. More importantly, I feel that if you have to roll a 15 for buying a Star, you should have to roll something higher than that to steal one since that costs more Coins.

A pretty good multiplayer D&D game that I know of is a beat'em up by Capcom called Chronicles of Mystara. It would be interesting to see what route the Sidequest team will take in the game.

I think the next rule will be if you target somebody with a boo, then the chances of stealing coins or stars will depend on your roll. Additionally, if you roll a 20, then you can do whatever you want.

I think maybe you could roll for the Star 3 times and only get it if you roll 15 or higher once (since you can say no 3 times to not get it) but you can't use your advantage roll on the star as that would be kind of redundant.

GGs, but I feel like the rules as is are too brutal with little things going on. I’d say General rolls (using/buying items) requires a roll of at more than 5 and to buy a star you’ll need 10 or higher. Bonus for Boo: - Roll a 1 and you MUST steal a coin randomly (Since using the boo is mandatory in this game) - Rolling 2-10 lets you steal a coin from anyone of your choosing - Rolling 11-14 lets you steal a coin or a star (but randomly for a star) - Rolling 15-20 lets you steal a coin or a star, if you choose to steal coin the victim is not allowed to mash.

Please, for the love of making the game actually happen: for stars, the requirement is still 15+, BUT you can roll up to three times (once for each time Toadette asks). Advantage and disadvantage carry over each try. Also, using items shouldn't count as a check, or if it does it should be a low requirement, like 5. Shops and Boos, though, still should.

If you ever go and do this again, maybe be a lil more lenient on yourselves. Cause making only a 25% chance to get the star really made it far harder than necessary. I think next time, normal choices should be 5 or higher, stars should be 10 or higher, and using a golden pipe or stealing a star via Boos should be 15 or higher. I Think that'd make it a bit more fun of a game rather than constantly telling toadette no
