For the weeding glitch: 1. Befriend a rabbit, 2. Place rabbit home on lot 3. Ask rabbit to help with gardening. The rabbit will eat the weeds. This is what I did to "fix" the issue. I also bought Patchy.

You can also ask the mini sheep and goats for gardening help if you have the horse ranch expansion.

Patchy is a great gardener and sprinklers / bees are very useful. Also to each their own but when you click on the wine maker there’s an option to collect all finely aged bottles so you don’t have to go searching through all the racks :) Regardless I love your videos!! 💕💕

the bee box is highly underrated...... just saying... those little buggers are amazing.... same with golden chickens, and evil chickens...... golden chickens make all plants perfect instantly and i swear to god, i saw my evil chicken FIGHTING the grim reaper to keep him from taking another chicken. i couldnt believe my eyes..... that chicken and grim chased each other around my wishing well BRAWLING. has to be the single best moment in my sims experience. and no, grim didnt get to take the chicken that day. lmao.. those evil chickens are AWESOME lol

I don’t remember what her traits are, but you could replace one if them with the rancher trait. It gives a chance to create an additional bottle of nectar. Also for gardening, instead of using services (or in addition to), you should consider Patchy, it can help supplement her social need and he helps tend the garden

lock the greenhouse door so the gardener can't get in to weed the bugged plants and these one button right at the top of the pie that says collect all finely aged, one click, then one click sell. you are using up your mousing muscles!!!!

I’m having the same weed glitch to fix it I shift click on the plant go to gardening state -> weeds -> weed free then reset the sim and they can weed them. You can also revive dead plants by going into plant evolution then ready to evolve

With all the Vitality bottles, you can just stop doing everything and wait a few days to them be a finally aged and that's it. Over 1.2M Simoleons😂😎

Maybe try placing the woodworking table on the corner of one side and a flower arranging table on the other so the each end has something else beside plants. Maybe a garbage can too. I usually just have a roof and no walls because of routing issues so it's not really a "greenhouse". As long as the roof is covering out of season plants. I also make all plants be in planters. My sims make their own to save money.

When you click on the nectar box thing - there is a option (when you have them) to collect all finely aged nectar 4:55

You can use the dron at the same time you do other things so you can harvest plants, make wine etc while the dron films you and then you just need to edit the video. So you dont need to sit there filming videos :)

I have no idea with TS4, but I remember in TS3, if a plant was against a wall or fence, the Sims could have trouble accessing it to weed. No problem harvesting it like that, but tending to it could be a problem.

Putting your nectar racks in a cellar/basement will age your nectar faster.

I know you're never gonna believe this but the un-weedable weeds... it's a bug. I kept having to shift click them and set them to be weed free or the gardner/my sim just stood there all day and tried to weed them. As soon as I cheated them, the gardner/my sim moved on to the next plant.

the weeding glitch is sooo annoying!!! In order to reset the weeds pause the game and then set the weed state to weed-free (shift-click -> weeds -> weed free). Do this for all plants with weeds BEFORE unpausing the game - otherwise the weeds just keep 'growing' each time you reset another plant in live mode. I do this everytime I get this glitch and my plants are fine - continue to grow harvestables

Get sprinklers. Get patchy. Get a roommate with high skills and the neat trait to help with the garden. Place garbage cans near all of the plants so it’s easier to throw dead plants away.

Don’t know if you see this because it’s really late, but I have had the glitch for several weeks now that in gardening, I have not been able to spray my bugs or weed my plants, and they’ve all started dying. And they were all fully involved. I also hired a gardener who looks like he was weeding the garden, but never did.

The weeding glitch is a thing, again. (It came back with the update ahead of For Rent.) The Floriate spell works, but Aubrey prolly doesn't have time to learn Practical Magic. Also, see if she can get her hands on bird of paradise flowers. They're worth a lot, especially when they're evolved.

If you want to keep on top of her social need without having people around talk to the plants or have her get a cat or dog and talk to it. Both of those do wonders for social need!

I think you should get patchy, some sprinklers, and then use him not only as a gardener but as a friend and lover. You can edit his human form in CAS. And he can help you make that descendant to pass your riches on to. Plus he doesn't even get added to the family unless you want him to. He's like Bonehilda. Actually she's a great option too she can watch the kid. Myb adopt a stray cat. Depends on how many tiles you can add to the house for space and keep it tiny (if that was the goal).

Also if she's Level 10 gardening she can revive her plants that died already. Not sure which level that starts at but by 10 she should be able to. Or she can usually idk if the glitch stops that.

7:01 I believe this is a bug. I've tried this with two different characters and I've gotten the same glitch. You must use the cheat to de-weed, in the weed will come back and your Sim will be able to remove it. It will temporarily disappear then quickly come back then your sim will remove it when they weed. I noticed the last video of this that a lot of those flowers were dry. Consider patchy. I think that he is better at gardening for the few hours that he stays. I didn't need to turn on testing cheats to de weed. I'm on the PlayStation so I just clicked X and circle at the same time on the plant. I don't know what it is on computer it's probably right click but I don't know.

Weeds are bugged. Enable cheats, shift click on plant and you'll see you can do several things with your plants. I use it to set my weed stage to "Mulched" since gardening is so bugged. It's bugged for ALL Sims too...🤦‍♀️

I think it's a glitch the same happened to me with the weeds. I ended up cheating the weeds off or just harvesting and starting a new plant. I had a butler and he was weeding forever.

That same glitch happens in my game 😭 with or without a green house. I never had a plant die because I couldn’t weed it I usually rest it and wait for it to grow back because if I click tend garden they’ll get stuck on that one n weed it for ages n the hired gardener does the same 😭

This video series is going to be a little bit difficult, Karla. Unfortunately EA broke gardening while trying to fix it. Not in this last patch (Crystal Creations), but the one before it (For Rent), EA tried to fix the bug where plants were just turning back into dirt piles. But, in doing so, they broke it even more. Sims can no longer weed; they just get caught in a weeding loop animation, and the weeds never go away. Also, insects are rampant, and one spray gets rid of them, sometimes all of them at once by spraying one plant. It's absolutely ridiculous how broken it is now. Even the gardening cheats don't work, nor do mods. I will say, though, that it's a gamble. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. So, I wish you luck with this series, but I, personally, have dumped gardening for now in the game. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, you can raise your social by talking to the plants... if you choose to keep them. 😊
