I love the window and door idea, but you did say the room heats up. I would incorporate heavy curtains on the inside to block out sun when you need to. Either for heat purposes or even for lighting control

I’m pretty sure they’re just going to add an indoor ac unit to the space. That would fix the problem while still allowing the windows to be showing.

,@@natalialandin1178 You would "think" it would. I live in Florida and have an all-window porch. AC does not work with the sun beating on those windows. It is going to be a greenhouse and no amount of AC works. They will definitely need blackout curtains or some other kind of insulation.

If the sun beams through that side specifically, I would be worried about the sun shining through the windows and causing a fire 😭 maybe they'll end up making another change if it doesn't work out as she expected. It happens!

i would say that u could maybe put a roller blinds inside the windows wall in order to cancel out the sunset lights.. and also, u can also use a glass and cut it into the shape of ur table so that it'll be smooth and not have holes but still getting the original look..

Sorry for your loss Colleen I got chickens a week ago and I love them so much, they really are my mental health support chickens. I would be devastated if anything happened to them. I think the window wall sounds really beautiful but I'm concerned that if it gets too hot in there now when the sun is setting, windows are just gonna amplify the heat ( I know you must have already finished I haven't seen the end of the video yet) but I really think you are going to need some heavy drapes or shutters to block the light when it's roasting.

My sink is original from 1952, it's enameled cast iron and I love it. It's the same sandish/almondy color as the one in the video. It keeps the water hot forever! Our bathtub is also the original enameled cast iron, love it. We live in the house my husband's grandparents built, almost the whole house is original. We have been replacing big things as we can, the cosmetic needs will be tended to after the necessary repairs are done. But it's ours and holds his families memories and love, so we love it as it is for now.

My friends dad runs an antique shop and in their back garden he built the most beautiful Alice and wonderland type shed out of all these old cabinet doors and a room at the bottom of their garden with antique windows and lighting and their garden is just the most magical place ever it makes me so happy
