In a little over 5 weeks in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Baptists on Mission have served 391,690 meals. There have been 3,700 volunteers who have completed 2,137 jobs. Some of the volunteers are retired people, but many are people who are taking off work and using their vacation days to serve. So many volunteers are needed, because there are so many more jobs to be completed to help the beautiful people in our beautiful mountains get back on their feet.

I’m not sure this would be considered words of wisdom but my grandmother had 11 kids. About half passed away early in life from different diseases (back in early 1900s) probably from diphtheria. She was a strong believer and no matter what was going on in her life she would say “Keep looking up” when she would send our birthday cards (always with a dollar in it) she always signed it “Keep looking up” Once when I was visiting her she started fussing. “I don’t recon the good Lord’s ever going take me home!” When she did go home, her head stone read. “Keep looking up”. Praying for NC and Please keep looking up. God is with you

We had tornados that destroyed several homes on Sunday. This morning they blew the tornado sirens again, & it prompted me to think of what it would be like to have to sift through rubble for any belongings after a disaster. My heart goes out to all those in need in every state that has been devastated. Your plea for everyone's help reminds me of Scripture that essentially says that if our brother is destitute of daily needs, don't just tell them to go in peace & be warmed & filled, but to do something to help meet their needs. God bless those who can send money, those who can send supplies, those who can provide their physical presence for labor, & those who are praying. Thank you, Tipper for being a resource & reminder to us all.

I'd love to share my Grandmas wisdom. She was very fond of "You have 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason. You should always listen twice as much as you speak, for the unspoken word never has to serve as a meal." To this day, I rarely have to eat my words as humble pie 😊

When I was young and didn’t always see a need to share my Mother would say, “Of those that are given much, much is expected”. We didn’t have much extra but if we had two of something my Mother said we always had one to give. She was from Oklahoma born in 1921.

Another great live video Tipper. I find myself looking forward to these on Monday mornings 😊 As for words of wisdom, I’m not sure where I first heard this, but … I don’t HAVE to do laundry, I GET to do laundry. I don’t HAVE to cook dinner, I GET to cook dinner. It completely changes a chore into a blessing. When I think of the people who no longer have homes because of Helene … wouldn’t they give anything to have a home to clean? It’s just a wonderful way to change your perspective and not take things for granted.

My husbands grandparents both came from big familes13+ Gr Bess said for their family the saying was 'always room for one more to the table' ( early 1900's- 1989) . Her husband passed early leaving her with still two at home. She took in extra laundry and ironing ( using tub and washboard) to make undertaker payments. I keep the board and wood laundry fork in my laundry room to remind me appreciate my husband and conveniences.

Tipper, it's so nice hearing the birds chirping there with you this morning. I watched Paul's videos, and they were awesome. They were just pickin and grinin and having a great time. It was so sweet hearing Granny doing the intro. 💕 I've really enjoyed listening to the music and look forward to hearing more songs. Thank you for the updates for the people affected by the storms. I pray that their needs are being answered even though we know that it will take time with all the destruction. 🙏 We continue to pray for them and help them in any and every way possible. Thank you for all that you do, Tipper. 😊 Sending blessings to you and all your family. 💗🙏

I love the crunching sound when out walking, Enjoy Fall lot n cool weather... something special bout the holiday months and season...our Heavenly Father gives us lot to appreciate and be grateful for, and little things in life I feel are the best... not how much money,or nicest home,or best looking clothes folks wear and have..the outside of a person doesn't count.. it's what's inside the person and their actions towards others..u never know what someone else is going through till u been there... so always be kind 😊, caring and humble and giving, cause that's just how Jesus is and was upon this earth... y'all have a beautiful blessed Monday morning... and thank u for another wonderful video

Becky, who has the channel Hillbilly Kitchen, is in Tennessee and folks are sending stuff to her and she is using her van to deliver it to Mountain City, NC. She's a strong believer in Christ and always ends her channel with "remember to always put God first". Someone had donated a camper to help a grandmother & her grandson, and she made a trip there today. She usually videos while she's there. It's become her mission to help these people, she's been a widow for about 3 yrs and is very thankful to God for helping her to be of service to Him and these folks in need. God bless y'all from VA! ❤️🩹🙏✝️

I’ve been watching Deep River Farms. Also the Rhoads Family farm and that’s their 12 acre permaculture farm they call it. Well I laughed so you and so many have been permaculture since before the big word came along. Hunting and growing your own food. These new things are just things and ways of life from years gone by.
