With this and your Andor review, you sir, are a great writer, critic, and creator you're gonna get some serious heat sooner than you think. Thanks for your work.

The patina and texture of this 80s style cinematography lends itself to the feeling of discovering an adventure and artefact in movie form.

For all the faults of Crystal Skull, they really did try their hardest to make it feel like an Indian Jones movie and succeeded in many ways. If this new movie gives us anything its at least an appreciation for it

Re: Iny's vulnerability - he never wins without losing first, and he never loses without winning. Just look at the opening scene where he obtains the idol: he has a narrow escape and emerges triumphant, only to have Belloq steal his idol away. When he punches the Nazi in the face and throws him out the front windshield of truck and runs him over, he only does that after it (nearly) happens to him. He gets the ark, only to have it taken from him (and us) by a shadowy government. This cycle of ups and downs is what makes us love him, root for him, want him to come through in the end.

Uncharted is an Aliexpress version of Indiana, which at the same time Indiana was a copycat of adventure movies Lucas and Spielberg watched as kids. Good vid, subbed.

My mom didn't saw the Indiana Jones movies when they came out, she said she wasn't interested (and she saw Jaws, Star Wars, ET, Jurassic Park and other classic blockbusters at the time), she later watched them on tv, when I came to be interested in Star Wars and Indy, she watched the movies and enjoyed them more, particularly she likes the prequel trilogy and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, they are her favorites, we are going to watch this new movie, I don't expect it to be good as the original trilogy, I just want to have some fun watching an Indy film for the first time on the big screen, I remember being like 10 years old watching an Indy movie marathon in my Godfather's house (he's a big fan of Star Wars and Indy), my little cousin and I just imagined that we were there being Indy or living his adventures.

Man i really hope the algorithm blesses you or something propels you into major viewership growth because your videos are way too good to be sitting around the 1k mark like some AI generated shit on youtube gets or an average Hollywood Reporter video. KZbin nowadays is so depressing the way that giant professional legitimate organisations with researchers and hard work gets like dogshit viewership on youtube and the most common denominator let’s play trash gets 100 million views. Your Andor video was fucking phenomenal, preaching everything I loved about that show in a way I could never say so eloquently or wasn’t even consciously aware the show was doing. I hope you make videos about Season 2.

thank you so much for the kind message, it has been really disheartening to see the amount of AI channels pop up over these topics but I'm glad anyone is even seeing my content haha. Got more videos on the way! Hope you continue to enjoy them

I see what you're doing there. A deep and introspective look at Indy. We'll I'll tell you kid. Life ain't that deep. Life gives no shits. You live. And you die. And somewhere in the middle you find a little pleasure. Takes away the sting of living. Sounds like something Dr. Jones would say, huh? And that's the secret of Indy. He's a giddy school boy chasing adventures.

I'm not sure Uncharted is the best emulation, you kind of lose the grounded humanity when there's a huge shootout every five minutes.

The uncharted games have stated their biggest influence was Indiana Jones, the similarities are more about the love of adventure that matters with good characters than anything else
