Your new house is beautiful! Love the colors you chose. I do have one concern and that is your daughter can touch the fan blade when she is in the upper bed. Don’t know what can be done except move the fan or the bed. Just for safety check it out. The only reason I mention this is b/c we had a friend who accidentally got her arms hit bu a ceiling fan when she was taking her dress off and did not realize how low the fan was in the home where she was visiting. She had some cuts and bruises and a bad scare and a visit to the ER. After this happened I have been very careful of ceiling fans.We love your family and the posts. God Bless you and your family.

The girls are so little their childhood memories will be wrapped up in your new house. I promise we moved into our first home around the same ages and only our oldest even remembers the other house. The others only remember it because of pictures..

My husband is prior military so I feel ya on the moving and unpacking. It got to the point where I stopped unpacking everything. Once he got out and we bought our forever home it was so nice knowing I could finally get rid of all the boxes. We had a big bonfire 🔥.

Everytime I think about it I panic at the amount of stuff we have and start pitching things and putting stuff out for goodwill! We moved from one state to another in our early 40s. 3 kids, ages 6, 3, and 2. No family offered to help. It was 2 Men and a Truck (I mean, I’m not a man, lol.) Y’all have done a great job and LOVE getting to know you and John better on your channel. Peace! ✝️💕

Best advice I ever got as a new homeowner, and for any payments in general i.e. car payment, was to do bi-weekly payments on my mortgage. . Look into spliting your monthly payment in half and paying it bi-weekly if you haven't already. It makes a world of difference in reducing the amount of time to pay your mortgage off, more money goes towards principal over time and "technically" you end up making one extra payment a year and never notice. Why? Because most people are payed every two weeks i.e. every 14 days, and you pay your mortgage bi-weekly in the same way. Twice a year, you technically receive three paychecks in a month, so twice a year you'd also end up making two extra 1/2 payments where 100% of the payment can be applied to only the principal. Since you are already used to paying bi-weekly, you don't even notice. If you Google mortgage bi-weekly payment calculators, you can model the EXACT amount you're paying monthly on the impact to your principal balance vs. paying bi-weekly. You'll be stunned. It will also show you how much you'll pay in interest and principal over the life of the loan for both versions and how many years it will cut off before your home is payed off. Also, because interest is calculated for every payment based on principal owed, the more often you apply a payment, the less the principal balance is for the next payment, saving money on interest cost. That combined with the two direct payments to 100% principal each year is a game changer! Last but not least, you can red can also model in those calculators, any extra you add to your payment each time. Even if you only add $10 or $20 bucks more, because you can designate that extra to go 100% to principal, it makes a big difference. Some banks will require you to be 1/2 a payment ahead so they don't see your monthly payment as delinquent, but many will just let you split it without doing that. Most banks WON'T tell you about bi-weekly payments because it's not a good deal for them with all the savings in interest. Some banks like mine wanted to charge an extra one time fee (mine was $750), to set it up, of course hoping I would choose not to do it. I'm sure that's a successful tactic. However, I happily paid it to save 10's of thousands of dollars in interest and payments! Happy Home Ownership! 😁
