I'm back in Singapore again, looking for giants- Giant Trevalley or " GTs"- are our target species. With the help of local experts we find them in good numbers VERY close to ONE°15 Marina located on Sentosa island!
My host is local Sea-doo Fish Pro owner and serious sports fisherman David Tan. David has "cracked the code" and is now catching decent sized GTs and many other great fish species in the extreme currents and shallow waters that surround Singapore and it's nearby islands.
Halfway through the session Dave thought the Sea-doo Fish Pro was taking on water. The ski was getting wobbly and hard to get on the plane, so he (thankfully) made the quick decision to abort and we raced back to the marina. He was right- the hull was half full of water!
I continued the day with another local, Sherman, who took me out on the back of his Fish Pro and we had an awesome day on the water. Dave managed to get back out again, but he found the water ingress continued on his ski. The ski has gone back to the mechanics for further investigation.

Great days fishing guys, great footage. Did I miss it, what was the 'specific' issue with the SeaDoo that caused the engine bay flooding?

Thanks. Re:Seadoo: David recently had it serviced and they replaced the carbon seal and wear ring. Not sure but some bolts were missing from the rear deck, but he did replace them after I switched rides, and he came back out and still got water in the hull again. Perhaps the carbon seal hasn’t been fitted properly? We’ll find out at some stage.

how have you gone with the squidtrex in Oz paul? last trip i noticed you using this technique with your jigging so im guessing you had a squidtrex on

I've really not tried them enough, but with the success of Dave and his friends in this video, I plan to do some more work with them this year for sure. So many lures and techniques....so little time!

since that comment I used them briefly on a very slow day and caught a 76cm Cobia in local waters. I used the same lifting technique, but caught it on a slow retrieve to the surface
