Why do we come to church? That’s the question at the heart of the Rev. Phil Jackson’s sermon. “Because things just aren’t working very well, are they?” Life as we’ve been living it has left us divided and without purpose. “Maybe, just maybe, we come here because we recognize we cannot do it [by ourselves],” says Father Phil. We cannot control, engineer, or tech our way to meaning, sense, and joy. “We as a community now recognize that we need a savior.”
