@Jeff-m9o2e Is this latest young school shooter (what an absurd thing to even be typing out) transgender? First I hear of it. Please point me to a source for this piece of information. I'm assuming that by "promote trans kids" you are referring to some parents' attempt to get adequate healthcare and civil rights for their own children who are or may be transgender. Adequate healthcare, civil rights and general acceptance in society would go a long, long way towards lowering the risk of any of these kids hurting themselves, being hurt by others (still the two most likely options), or hurting others. Not least because timely access to adequate healthcare would help to spot and treat any unidentified mental health problems.

Why does the media not include discussion about the TEACHERS who were also killed in all of these senseless, sick mass shootings. They are innocent adults who came to school to HELP others. They are adults with husbands and wives, children, sisters, brothers, friends, all of whom grieve for the destroyed lives of those they lost. So sad, so tragic that there is no discussion of ADULT victims whose lives were mercilessly torn from them, and all the people who suffer horribly from the loss of their murdered loved ones.

Letter to America: making of federal border and gun violence laws falls squarely on US Congress, not States and the Executive Branch as a starter - Weak guns safety laws, and unwillingness to enact comprehensive immigration laws to protect the borders and curb guns violence through Congress is like infact no laws at all to address those issues of gun violence and immigration in America, which in itself is an indictment against Congress, that allows for the commission of these grave violations since there no set concrete binding federal laws in place by US Congress, for these critical matters considered national emergency? In effect, from these analysis, the US Congress stand to be accused for willful negligence, that leads to border crisis and unabated guns violence in the country, thus the political will is lacking by members of Congress to stem down gun violence crime and promote safer, secured American border laws, invariably Congress charged with making laws that is commonly supposed to protect every aspect of the society, but to the contrary do not want to take responsibility to make strong border and gun safety laws for fear of losing their collective constituency votes over the people and indeed society as a whole, making it difficult for law enforcement is deemed in our view tantamount to complicity of crime, aiding and willfully abating continuous gun violence in the country added to lack of effective border control laws which are a violation against citizens' right for protection and public safety as in the school shooting cases, influxes at border all across America thus becoming somunamus to direlation of sacred oath in the execution, duties and functions of US Congress as a lawmaking body for the American people, a sole and intended purpose of being elected into public office, which is deemed a federal responsibility in neglect period. In conclusion the blame should be placed squarely at the feet of federal lawmakers for not enacting meaningful gun regulations and border laws across the entire country.

The law still recognizes the kid as a juvenile but it also recognizes that the heinous nature of this kid's actions are so egregious that he at 14 was able to understand the primary gravity of those actions just as well as an adult would. Therefore the parent buying him a military weapon after his child and himself have been warned about the kid's disturbing gun violence behaviour deserves criminal culpability, even while the child is subject to adult sentencing (with some differences however such as not being eligible for the death penalty). Both deserve HEAVY prosecution in this matter. This is not vindictive or hypocritical. It is finally addressing the mass of blame that is to go around, instead of giving grossly negligent, wilfully blind or actively conspiring parents a free pass. That is what should never occur anymore when such culpability in the parent(s) is evident.
