Playing good SMART football against a team that doesn’t lose at home. EMERY was the one who got out-coached this time … not Ange. His tactics in trying to stop Spurs ( Udogie ) backfired by making Bailey become a non-factor forcing him to get subbed out. Ange made them run til they were low on fuel by the end of the first half …. once we scored that first goal, they were not coming back. We had Bentancur, Dragusin, Werner & Hojbjerg coming off the bench. We are getting closer to having the kinda squad you need to play more than one game a week AND challenge for trophies .. Brilliant display

I love the way he talks about the development of the team being the most important thing. Most of the players are under 25. If he stays and keeps this team together and improving, the results take care of themselves. Every single player today played well. It was an amazing performance, he must be very satisfied. He sees the big picture and I do too. In 3/4 years time, this team will be incredible.

3/4 years? wtf? You know real top tier teams win like 3+ major trophies in that timeframe right? Development is bullshit if you are ALWAYS developing some project that gets scrapped. Modern football does not allow a 10 year project; demands change season to season and a core group that doesn't win in 2-3 years gets jaded, wants to leave, fall off with injuries, age, etc. These players NEED to win Ange a trophy next season. Otherwise, the same parasitic doom and gloom will take over again. Even if it's a minor trophy like 1 of the domestic cups, next year a trophy MUST be the one and only goal. He even said so himself, he plays to win and be #1. If not, he might as well leave at the end of the season.
