We Need MORE Tower Defence Roguelike Games

I am so happy to have found another great roguelike tower defense game! It reminds me A LOT of rogue tower but with a few different mechanics added such as rivers and movable units! I am looking forward to it's full release because as of now, it's only a demo version we can play :(

About Hexguardian:
Hexguardian is a strategic, roguelite, tower defense game with polyomino gameplay! Build and upgrade towers, recruit armies, learn spells, construct wonders and place hexagonal tiles to create a path to enhance your defenses. With plenty of abilities and talents to unlock!
Kill enemies to obtain hexagonal map tiles, match these titles with the existing paths to create longer routes, obtain better building placement options, or close off the loop to stop enemies spawning from the portals.
Choose a strategy to defend your realm. Build a variety of towers from simple arrow and bomb launchers to fire and ice towers. Recruit armies of swordsmen, archers and more, and learn powerful spells to slow down and damage enemies as they invade from land, sea and air!
Build large Wonders with unique and powerful abilities to turn the tides of battle. Build support buildings like markets and windmills to earn additional gold to purchase more firepower and upgrades. Use the terrain and environment to your advantage, place towers on higher elevations to increase their range in the highland maps, or control the weather to slow down or damage enemies.
Defeat bosses to unlock a wide range of blessings allowing you to earn more gold, increase the range and damage of your defenses, increase spell power and much more. Earn stars for each day you survive, then use them to unlock new towers, units, spells, wonders, and other buffs and upgrades. Survive long enough to unlock new maps and difficulty settings.

You do have to be careful when blocking off paths as on later waves if there aren't enough paths to spawn all of the enemies then the game will simply buff the remaining enemies to make up for it. 19:45 The game gave you an Oasis tile, and then you rerolled it for a plain tile? Oops... 20:28 This tile would have been very nice on the right! 37:05 This tile has four Houses, so you want it somewhere you can place a nearby Fishing Hut.

It's about the tiles that you get and if they fit the path. That is why you sometimes can't fit in the tiles that you would want to. They have to aline with the river an path tiles. Hope that makes sense 😊

ooooh i just thought they were like tokens needed to purchase a random piece of land, not an actual tile piece with it's own path/river and directions!!! this makes tonnes more sense now lol :D

I can see the strategy for this game already, keeping everything close to the castle since it’s the central point to save on the coin from trying to progress faster with threats in the edge slowly expanding out but keeping the central towers the strongest for multi lane night or tougher portal spawns, like the game with the tree as your castle and how that game works, cept this game starts out with way more open at the start being a bit harder if you don’t set em up soon as you can with land to buy yourself time to kill. The reason why I believe this is setting to much in one side as the tower get more exp waive after each one you buy like the game where you defend the tree it better to cover all paths with a more central defense early game til you are wanting the gold to set towers on the edge.
