The Lord is allowing a season of lack in my life. Time is of the essence. I must pass an exam within the next two weeks that is required for a job that I was practically handed. But there has been struggle after struggle since starting the job. God continues to expose me to things, things that I desire, but I’m unable to have in this season. My husband’s car barely functions. I need tires, yesterday. I’m even struggling with my health and can’t afford treatment. 😢 I continue on, but I’m tired. I don’t know why I’ve been chosen for this course. Our finances are suffering. But yet, I trust Him. I watch others in positions of with what I desire, and my heart aches. I pray to God to give me a clean heart, a sincere congratulations and to forgive me for coveting. This all has gone on so long and I’m so drained, but I can’t quit.

Wow!! I literally should’ve waited to hear the wrong season piece. I was wronged on my job. A new requirement went into effect just four days following my start date. Sadly, no one (not HR, the superintendent, the principal of my building, my supervisor/mentor, etc.) was privy of this change. I found out about the change by accident. I was trying to gain access into a data entry site that required my license number. I called the board office. I asked what my license number was by the administrative assistant, who just so happened to be new as well. I advised her that I didn’t have one because I wasn’t licensed. New SLPs work one full year under a licensed SLP before being licensed. She advised me to call the Board of Healing Arts. At this point, it was late October. By the time, I found out I was out of compliance, an investigation was initiated against me. I was unable to see my students. Even though this wasn’t my error, the board refused to backdate my license. I was forced to restart my CF year in 2023. My mentor/supervisor was also investigated. My superintendent of special education nor the HR department took no responsibility in this situation. I stood alone. Now I’m attempting to get my Praxis passed because it’s also required. It must be passed immediately. My health has been an issue that hinders sleep, eating, etc. I still push myself to study because without a passing score, I will not be able to get licensed or certified, and thus I will have no job. I’m so fearful, which I pray fervently for God to remove from my spirit. I’ve failed this exam three times.
