I like the idea of having Blastlings teleport when you get too close, but they're the only Enderman type that doesn't teleport away from projectiles. That way in order to defeat them you have to beat them at their own game using a bow, trident, or crossbow.

Concept: End whales. End whales would travel between the vast void of the end, flying with their gargantuan wings about the size of 3 ender dragons. Slaying this beast would be difficult, as they always are in the vast nothingness between islands, you would have to use the elytra to fly towards them and damage the them while dodging their fireball spam. Once at half health, they will travel to the nearest island and hover there. Then they will eat chorus fruit, and summon a magical shield around them. You would have to defeat a group of 3 endermen before the shield is lowered. Once its at a quarter of its health, it would summon the shield and endermen again. Once defeated, it would drop wing membrane, which could be used to give the elytra the abilty to flap the wings, which could be used 3 times before you had to land to reset it. It would give you a huge speed boost, also you would get 3x more durability. Im not game developer, so take this with a grain of salt, but i think they would be a really cool mob.

The End is a mysterious Dimension. Imagine some islands that survived the Decimation that happened thanks to the Ancient Builders. Some Pockets of the end that still has its native life. Also, an idea for the Stronghold is that there are these entities called Stronghold Guardians, and the Stronghold itself is divided into layers going down. The upper most layers will have the weakest Guardian, and once you defeat one Strong Hold guardian of a level, the others on the same level will let you pass, becoming passive. Now the lower levels you go, the stronger the Guardians get, and the guardians on a level lower than the one you passed will not be exactly the same, and so there won’t be a special link.

I don't think an Endermite Nest would work unless it was completely separated from the surface, and if Endermen could not spawn there (because the Endermen kill them all so quickly, that even if there was a spawner the Endermites wouldn't be able to do anything). It would be cool to have some kind of End biome with a more desolate deserted feeling, maybe with a more gray-ish yellow stone variant, that has endermites spawn naturally. Endermen on the outskirts of the biome would still wander in and attack them, but having an entire biome for them to spawn in would make it more reasonable (and would make that biome more dangerous due to the fact that Endermites will actively attack you, unlike the neutral Endermen).

There should be the balloon bug, a firefly-like mob that attacks by inflating its abdomen to shock its attackers, and sometimes sting them, the hostile equivalent of a bee. Killing it would give you an opportunity to make balloons.

Yes the End needs an update (especially the Ender Dragon..), but I also think Minecraft lacks a LOT overall. 1. The Elytra is too OP for how easy it is to get (it's just really really boring to get it).. they could easily fix this by making it an item you get from killing an UPDATED Ender Dragon. 2. The Dragon has NEVER been a challenge, it's SO EASY to defeat and makes for a really LAME end-game boss-fight.. I am not asking to make it as cool as Darkeater Midir, but at least add different attacks types, update its design to make it scary, make it SPIT FIRE & walk/run at you on land, add proper sounds/ROARS...etc.... 3. The End needs a proper update, it's been bear-bones and extremely boring (without any features at all) for a decade now... (Nullscape mod is a great example of what an update could look like). 4. The new mobs SUCK. They are weird, they serve NO purpose and you hardly ever come across them (the "sniffer"? seriously??). Why not add bears, squirrels, fireflies, butterflies ..etc..? This all adds to immersion. 5. For the love of god, give us ambient sounds and a proper sound engine! 6. Massively improved terrain generation for the biomes.. most biomes look so desolated (birch forest *cough cough*) 7. Connectable chains and fences.. (come on now, do I really need to say this?) 8. SEASONS, weathering effects in forests and biomes...(e.g. dynamic grass) IMMERSION ! and more.... There are plenty mods out there that do exactly these things, but again, they are mods... These should be basic features of what is one of the most popular games ever. And while Distant Horizon (the most incredible mod-update ever) was being built by a SINGLE GUY, Mojang is adding the fucking "sniffer" ???? Please.. give me a break.

My hot take is that they shouldn't update the end islands - they should remove them. Make the end just a boss arena again, and relocate the end island content somewhere else. To a new dimension that's way more convenient to go to and isn't themed around being the literal end of the game, mayhaps. Also for the dragon fight, I think it'd be cool if it had new attacks based on the different protection enchantments: A fire attack, an explosion attack and a projectile attack. Also charging at the player is just cool, absolutely add that back in.

Personally my top 5 biggest wants from an end update in no particular order are these: 1. The update should retain the feelings of isolation and alien darkness that the end has now. It’s probably its biggest unique element and the thing that separates it most from more stereotypical sky island ideas. Any new biomes should try to retain that and any lively areas should be kept to structures or be rare. There can still be plenty of new content it just shouldn’t make the end feel familiar or friendly. 2. The end should become more vertical. We have elytra to travel around easily so give us terrain that makes the elytra more interesting to use. Let end islands spawn at more varied y levels especially with the massive build limit increase in 1.18. This could be balanced by giving the end its own sources of gunpowder and paper to make rockets renewable when exploring there. 3. There should probably be a way to save yourself from the void. It’s the only type of damage can pretty much screw you over as once you’re in the void there is almost no way out. Either a new rare item or tamable mob that returns you to the last solid block you touched would be a great way to make the end more approachable as many players never go there due to the danger. 4. They definitely need to incorporate some of the new additions from 1.21. Elytra should be obtained from vaults instead of an item frame, as currently they are very annoying to get in multiplayer. The key could be dropped by shulkers or maybe they could use the standard trial keys to make them more easily obtained at the cost of having to bring them all the way from the overworld? The dragon fight should also get a hard mode accessible as an ominous event by having bad omen when the dragon is respawned. 1.21 added all these great ideas that should be implemented into more parts of the game. 5. There should be an end based alternative to netherite with the same protection but different secondary effects. So instead of knockback resistance and being fireproof it could do something else. Maybe built in fall resistance and being recoverable from the void somehow?

A lot of people say there should be cool, diverse biomes, but i think the end should stay a generally empty place. I want an end update, but it shouldn’t ruin the whole empty theme of the end.

Cool diverse biomes can work... But only if they are barren and desolate. I don't want the End to have a ton of plant life, like most End mods do. They can add more variation while still making it feel dead... Take the Nether's Basalt Deltas and Soul Sand Valley biomes. Those do a great job of feeling barren while still being visually interesting. They need more stone types and rock formations in the End. Any plants have to be relegated to specific uncommon biomes or be sparse and alien like the Chorus Plants. It needs to feel like life is hanging on by a thread (and no mushrooms, that's the Nether's thing).

I have an idea for a mob that could be good for the End. And what I suggest is a mob that can stalk the player from a distance. Not like the Enderman would in Minecraft, but a mob that stalks you and makes you paranoid well the mob itself makes creepy noises. So imagine this, your wondering around a new ender forest looking for an End City, and then you hear something from right behind you, and you look behind immediately, and you see a black mob just watching you with white pale eyes, stalking you from behind a tree. And as soon as you see it, its gone just like that, out of sight. And I sort of love the idea. And maybe this mob could also be in other dimensions as well. Or maybe just to the End alone. But still I love the idea. This idea came to me when The Warden was added in 1.19. I would love if Mojang added A stalker type of mob to the game that stalks you and you alone. You don't understand what it wants from you, but you don't know what it is. Is it a person like you? An Enderman? And that's what I love about it so much, that mystery aspect to it that others that like lore could enjoy. Who knows, maybe in the lore there could be written books from people in the End in the past, that has encountered this stalker type of mob and didn't know what to think. Maybe they went crazy due to them being in the End for so long now, because they were trapped. Who knows. Also, with the End's creepy atmosphere and it's feeling like it's an alien world, I think this mob could fit right in with the update. Tho if Mojang would want to add a stalker type of mob to the End, then I think they wouldn't want it to be too scary. Especially when children play this game. So I think it would probably be on the same spectrum as the Creeper. Not too scary, but also unique enough to stand out among the rest of the Mobs in this game.
