I heard that Happier Than Ever was originally supposed to be the closing track, but then she just kinda made Male Fantasy at the last minute and thought it made more sense to end it with that instead. Happier Than Ever was a release of all kinds of emotions, while Male Fantasy you feel like she’s had some time to mull over her thoughts and grow from letting go. It feels more like what she’s talking about in the album is over because of it.
@Starlight-jj8mv3 жыл бұрын
Well Male Fantasy wasn't really a last minute addition, that would be Oxytocin. She didn't want to end the album on a negative tone as she didn't think it should.

I understand the internal conflict, but if people started to resent me for what other people in my life have ever done wrong, we would literally be here all day. Life and humans are wayyy more complex than cancel culture would like it to be, there's no way to draw a morality line where everyone's either good or bad, so we can be reassured and only support the "good". Everything is messy, and most people have at some point associated with someone that's done bad stuff. I don't believe that makes us bad people. Also I feel like we're only hurting ourselves trying to make artists into perfect people/activists/politicians when that's really not what they are. If you like the music and the artist isn't doing some horrible shit that's actively hurting people I don't see why you should feel guilty

It takes a couple listens to be comfortable with your opinion. I absolutely love this album and I can’t wait till the tour 💙

I sometimes wonder if Ash will ever react/listen to "Sing To Me Instead" by Ben Platt. It's a damm good album and everyone I follow on KZbin is sleeping on it. PS: For the handful of you that agree, Revier is probably the best, out of the two albums, for Ash.
