What’s going on guys, welcome to todays episode from the channel, today I’m going to discuss Scream 7, and give you a breakdown of what I want to see happen in the 7th instalment of the franchise, if the rumours of this being a reboot and also bringing back Sidney Prescott are accurate. It’s interesting with this topic because if you’d have asked me 6 months ago what I wanted from 7, the list would have been incredibly long as there was some aspects left over from 6 that I still wanted to get some clarity on in the 7th movie.

Don’t get me wrong what they did in 5 and 6 was different. But they totally lost the creeper aspect, the ‘look out behind u’ but unfortunately they wanted it to be for the new generation and as we all know the new gen want fast pace jumps. Hopefully 7 can take it back while still keeping it brutal

Sidney's story is over 3 times at least and I want to see the end of the new trilogy. Until then I don't care about other movies in the franchise.

Damned if you do, and damned if you don't; it's the Rise of Skywalker all over again. They can't bring back Sidney without explaining why the hell she's the focus _again_ after almost 30 years. Nor can they adequately wave away the Carpenters after setting up two films of dubious and inconclusive arcs. We also have to somehow tie in or explain why Gale and Kirby are (or not?) in this plot too. It's a mess that can't really be untangled.

​@@ct6852Even with a reboot, you can have the core 4 return as legacy characters. You don't just LEAVE the characters. Scream 5 had Sidney and Gale and it was a reboot with a new cast. Scresm 8 can have Sam and Tara just like Sidney and Gale were in Scream 5.

alright, hear me out. I was reading through the comments and saw someone talking about a ghostface cult involving stu's return. maybe its just me but I LOVE this idea. I think it can drive the story away from 'the core four' as if Stu is the leader of this 'cult' he has no real need to kill them. (However if they rehire them it could be because Sam is Billy's daughter) Making Stu return as this cult leader I think would have to be revealed around the middle of the movie however, since if you had hundreds of ghostfaces running around without a cast of potential killers it would just be very confusing and possibly boring. I think they should make Mark (Sidney's husband) get kidnapped to bring Sidney back to Woodsboro. After she gets there it could be revealed that Gales healed in the hospital from her attack in scream 6, bringing back 2 of the franchises main characters for this movie. Since Sidney doesn't actually live in Woodsboro, she could stay with Dewey and Tatum's family, adding the 'suspects' aspect of a regular scream movie. Adding to this, you could have new police officers, since the deaths of Judy and Dewey the franchise is lacking in its police officer character 😭 If they don't do this, they could even add something as simple as 'its a high school reunion' or something like that and its classic 'teenage cast' turns into an adult cast with past teenagers from the same school of the first movie. Sounds weird - I know, but I don't really see how they'll incorporate teenagers into a new reboot story with Sidney Prescott. Anyway, back on track - After people around them start dying, Sidney could find Mark while the movie focuses on her, gale and mark trying to leave town from Ghostface, who seems to appear everywhere they run. It would be revealed that Stu is alive by him stabbing Mark, saying some silly line like 'The original cast is always better' or something goofy like that. - I realise this is so long that no one is probably going to read it but oh well - By the end of the movie I think Gale should've died, or been brutally attacked - on the verge of death - leaving Sidney alone. I think eventually nearing the end of the movie Sidney should somehow end up in this cults meetup spot. As she starts to look around Stu wanders in, but as Sidney is about to come out of hiding to kill him, a large amount of people wearing ghostface costumes would enter, with Stu giving this crazy speech. Then, I think the second killer should be revealed.. - Mark Kincaid. Sounds weird right? But i think its more possible then people realise. I'm gonna go over the story 1 more time fully. After the ending of the first movie, (correct me if I'm wrong cause its been a while) but I believe its never shown the police actually seeing Stu's body - again, maybe wrong I'm not sure - But maybe Stu survived and ran out the backdoor, the police are embarrassed about the fact he was able to get away so they tell everyone he's dead. And as I'm writing this I'm realising, in the easter egg of the 'is stu alive' video - there must have been some sort of reason for people to believe hes alive right? Like maybe Stu's family were angry that they never got to see their sons dead body.. So i think - Stu managed to escape out the back - the police check the woods behind his house, including the entire area, and find nothing. Confused about this - The police assume stu is dead from his wounds that Sidney tells them about, and that's that. Now here's where Mark comes in.. I've always found it weird how Roman managed to kill all those people by himself, let alone fake his own death halfway through. In the early draft of that script, there was supposed to be 2 killers, Angelina and Roman. By the end of the movie however, Angelina is dead. Meaning that there's no way she could come back. However, Mark is a red herring character, someone who was painted out to be the killer in the movie, but turns out he's innocent...Or is he? I believe that Mark and Roman had a deeper plan, however it backfired when Roman was killed. Luckily for Mark, Roman doesn't reveal their plan fully and Mark is able to run away freely. Mark, as a homicide detective, is hired by Stu's family to look into his death. Mark finds Stu, but instead of ratting him out to the police or his family, he continues his plan with Stu instead of Roman. Mark poses as her husband for YEARS, and even starts a family with her, Mark of course is crazy and doesn't care about any of it. Mark is the real mastermind here however, he makes Stu pose as the groups leader as even if Stu is caught out and killed - he can just run away free again! The motive? - there isnt one! Just 2 bloodthirsty maniacs with a whole group of people willing to kill for them. Anyway, back to the ending. After Stu's speech to the ghostface cult, after all the ghostfaces leave, Mark walks in, and goes over his plan with Stu one more time. However, Stu is hesitant about this, and there may even be some flashbacks to how Billy was controlling to him in ways. - We'll call it PTSD (ironic i know) But Stu gets in his own head and starts questioning Mark, leading to an argument where the 2 ghostface killers fight - to the death. Sidney witnesses her husband murder Stu. Sidney, shocked, starts crying uncontrollably, leading to one of the members of the ghostface cult finding her, however there's no chase, not yet. Mark makes Sidney come to him and goes off on his crazy killer reveal monologue - revealing he has no motive and simply just wants to see Sidney suffer. However - Stu isnt dead, Not yet, here comes Stu once again with his second back-from-the-dead scare, before Mark quickly kills him again. This however gives Sidney the big enough distraction she needs to run away while Mark is distracted by Stu. Throughout this chase Sidney sees the ghostfaces in a room all gathered together, and starts a fire. This is how she kills the ghostface cult. But Mark is still alive. The movie ends with Mark stabbing Sidney, but just before he pulls the knife out, he gets stabbed in the neck by Sidney Prescott. Sidney, after killing mark in a flaming building, begins to escape. The Police bust open the door with Kirby present, telling Sidney how sorry she is , only for Mark to also come back to life for one last scare to stab sidney multiple times. Sidney dies and the Scream movies are done. The next scene shows Sidneys funeral, with her kids, surviving cast members, and maybe even 'the core four' if rehired. Then someone, most likely Gale, is shown inside of where Sidney was staying, discovering and reading a written letter, the movie ends with Sidney reading out a note saying something about her final wishes and how shes not sure whether shell survive her trip to woodsboro. (Jesus this was long but i really enjoyed writing it) lemme know what you think😅 EDIT: Hate to make this longer but i thought id add, if the 'core four' do end up returning, i would like to see at least 1 if not 2 of them dead. One of them would need to be a twin, maybe Chad, and a carpenter sister, maybe Tara.

I don't have five, but I just had a new idea. What if the new killers are looking to "tie up loose ends"? Like we start with news that some of the people from Stu's party in the first movie have been killed off. Then the opening kill is a cameo from Joel the Cameraman, and we go on from there. That way, we don't have to involve the "Core 4" right away.

You could have the opening scene of Scream 7 take place on the same evening that the finale of Scream 6 takes place (after Gale calls Sidney to check in on her). This would explain the absence of the Core Four but then Gale would have to be absent unfortunately as well as Kirby. But then the rest of the movie would need to take place the following day (and into that evening for the climax) so that Sam and Tara do not have enough time to fly to Seattle and save Sidney, Plus Sidney would not be able to get through to Gale by phone as Gale would be in hospital. It could work. But I'm still annoyed that we won't close out the Carpenters Sisters trilogy. Maybe they could work something out for a Scream 8 but I'm doubtful.

I don't want a reboot for Scream 7. If it isn't going to involve tbe core 4, just set around the same time as Scream 6 as that would explain the absence of them. This allows Sidney and Mark to take the leading roles with the series not being rebooted.

I 200% agree about bringing back the true crime feel. My favorite thing about scream 3 was they were INVESTIGATING. That was lost in 4-6, they just assumed the killers would reveal themselves.. which they did of course but scream 1 and 3 did a really good job with that. I’m not saying go FULL Silence of the Lambs (even though in my opinion that wouldn’t be horrible as long as we had some awesome kills)

I think they should go back to Kevin Williamson’s idea about making a Ghostface cult and bring Stu back. Tie the past killers and characters into the cult and have it come full circle. One of the writers IS a Stu believer so I think it can happen. Sidney would want to leave the Core 4 out as this is an issue that ties back to psychos wanting to make a movie, but now it’s extravagant. Sam and Mindy can go home for the summer to visit their mom. If Joel is their dad, it would be nice to see him again. I can’t think of a proper closure for Sam and Tara.

1.Stu 2. Randy video. He can be holding the camera and talking while filming something. 3. Dewey deserves something big. Not a tiny little mention. 4. Cotton was done so, so dirty in Scream 3. He needs a nice mention in some way. 5. Kill Mindy Every great character is dead. No imaginary ghost Billy. A flashback of Billy and Stu in their Ghostface costumes, planning out a practice kill that was never tied to the Woodsboro murders. Maybe the did it in another town.

Gale needs to be given more respect as a character on screen for us AND as a figure within the Scream universe. She has survived 6 attacks, she has lost so many people close to her. She should be treated as a highly public figure. It's insane how in 5 she is literally responsible for helping kill the killers, yet she stands in a crowd and no one cares about her, but they mob Sam and Tara? It doesn't add up to me that she's treated like a scummy local reporter. At the same time, she should be getting insulted on the streets just like Sam! You could argue that Gale essentially perpetuated all the subsequent attacks through writing a book and helping the Stab movies get made. So for 7, I want her to have a bigger role and for her to be treated as complex as she is.

Definitely agree with your five points, @BeyondTheMask! I also have a few ideas that I'll list below: 1. Bring back Josh Pais (Detective Wallace) from Scream 3. I found his character to have a very dry sense of humor, and I don't feel he really got to do much in the third installment. He could still be a close friend of Mark Kincaid (Patrick Dempsey) and possibly even a Ghostface target. 2. If Scream 7 draws any inspiration from Scream 3, then the whole "movie within a movie" aspect could work. A movie could be made about the Core Four, and they want absolutely nothing to do with it. They could go into hiding because having Ghostface back in the spotlight means their lives are in danger once again. Gale's still a morning news anchor and also could be a true crime documentary host. The studios are battling for the rights to her new book, and she could feel torn in that decision making process. 3. Have the actors and actresses from Scream 2 and Scream 4 (Luke Wilson, Heather Graham, Tori Spelling, David Schwimmer, Lucy Hale, Shenae Grimes-Beech, Kristen Bell, Anna Paquin) involved somehow. Maybe this new Ghostface feels the need to target actors and actresses who have previously been involved with the Stab franchise! I know David Schwimmer isn't shown, but his name is brought up by Randy in Scream 2 and listed in the credits in Scream 5 when Tara's scrolling through her phone to find Heather Graham's name.

Spyglass is a POS. We need a proper sequel to 6 and The Core Four. I wanted to see Tara's character explored so much more because imo she's still the most mysterious out of the four we still barely know her character despite her being Chad's new girlfriend, Sam's baby sister, she's the only one out of them who's not related to a legacy character. We still don't know how her mother treated her during those years she was abandoned. But 6 did prove she had darkness inside her too just the way she enjoyed shoving a knife down Ethan's throat.

One: If the core four will be mentioned for Scream VII so Gale can told Sidney about Sam and the core four because they got their own happy ending which Sidney agrees Two: I think for Scream VII there will be one more Dewey mentioned because of his death in Scream (2022) Three: If Gale dies in VII then Sidney and Mark Kincaid as well as Kirby will be next to be killed at the hands of Ghostface killer that will be the end of the legacy four for this film Four: Can the core four led by Samantha Carpenter discover that Sidney, Gale, Kirby and Mark Kincaid are all been murdered by Ghostface then they will be return once again to take down Ghostface once and for all Five: What if the three Kincaid teenagers were need help by the core four after they've lost their parents who had died at the hands of Ghostface during the events of the seventh film and the eighth film

Rather see a proper sequel to 6 with The Core Four but BS happened. I needed to see Tara's character explored more because she's still the most mysterious out of The Core Four. I really do not want another Sidney story again lol. God no. I'd rather just a completely new story at this point unrelated to Sidney's story, but maybe related to Scream 5. Maybe someone that went to school with Tara and the twins. Hell, bring back Jill and tell her full story. Anything but Sidney as much as I loved her character, I really wouldn't care for a Sidney story today because we know she's the one untouchable character and knowing the ending doesn't excite me. That's why I loved 5-6's characters because all of the conversations was about Tara. Is Tara going to die? So many people were talking about Tara turning evil or dying in 6. I remember all of the hype about that and everyone thinking it'd be sister vs. sister. Radio Silence knew what they were doing when promoting Scream 6. Either get Spyglass out, or get a completely different story but please, no more Sidney. I just want something fresh and as exciting as Scream 6 was to me.

*1. Make KILLS BELIVEABLE and explain how Quinn and Amber could toy with guys double their sizes.* - Is someone secretly behind this, explain this. SCREAM 1996 got BELIVEABLE killings, that made it easy to imagine happening. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 2. LEGACY/ don't F with ORIGINAL . 🙌 Can't care less for CARPENTERS, but no BSing on Wes Craven work. 🙌 And YES, even if Stu as CHARACTER can't probably BE BACK(wanting it is nothing, if it will be half assed), *Stu's LEGACY can.* Till now, ALL was about *Billy.* - his mom, his child, his movies. All erased Stu, who is one of TWO OG FATHER DEATH, often belittled even by franchise as 'side kick', with him doing as much and planning as much as Billy. It is my way of adding new aspect to what we know, unlike ruining - like SCREAM 2&3rd did, what was accomplished by OGs. We got so much fussing about BILLY(adding Christina gushings), that I just want plot showing, Stu was not MANIPULATED to murders, as much in it, no victim. No need to bring him back PERSONALLY, but gives fans THAT. 🤷🏻‍♀️ He was just twisted(manic, as for me) since kid and we can add touches showing it by... 3. Leslie Macher *AS MAIN KILLER* who pretend Christina Carpenter sidekick, only to use and betray her in final act. Nice cycle to first movie. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, Leslie perspective gives possibility to get some Stu background, proving he was no *peer preasured* to become killer, yet forcing nothing. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 4. Location split in 2 at the start. WOODSBORO and Sidney's home. Before moving to Sidney, lets start with Gale visiting WOODSBORO, showing how, now alone, she lives her fame. But then people starting attacking her. She don't know WHY. So she reach explaination, recently TRUE CRIME episode was made in Woodsboro and aired, proving her STAB serie is BS. Which means, she is DOOMED! But also, giving out, subtly, Sid location, that she thought WAS SECRET. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 5. TRUE CRIMES REPLACING HORRORS, CULT of fans taking over franchise and turning against GALE WEATHERS, *STAB BS CREATOR* . 😂 Because it will be FUN seeing, how GALE, of all people, understand fame she always craved so much, fame destroying everyone around her now is life-threatening her FOR REAL. With STAB fans understanding, she spilled BS on them since day 1, because of *TRUE CRIMES WOODSBORO 1996 episode* , showing her lying about what she 'seen', they feel disrespected. That her STAB 'witness' story is faking it till she made it... Needs to be paid for. Many people dress as Ghostfaces to threat her(even if main are only two in this movie). Also it is connected to whole franchise - 7th should do continuation of MURDERERS ADMIRATION ESCALATION, with message by end, Sidney and Gale winning, thinking, all is over, AGAIN... That turns around through NEWS raporting LESLIE MACHER MURDER SPREE, explaining her REASON for it reminding, by effect, who Stu Macher is. 😂 And it ties to 'true crimes' You mentioned, too. TRUE CRIMES exposing lies from movies, yet glorifying those commiting them even further. But conclusion is, like in 4TH, *NEWS* having even bigger range, starting people interest IN TRUE CRIMES. 😂 Also, as everyone is FURIOUS with where Gale bs STAB is going, someone making up mind to make TRUE CRIME SERIES about WOODSBORO 1996 *true* events, making endless list of suspects from all threatning Gale.. 🔪 Ps. It will be nice, if it happened by. CHRISTMAS! ❤ Because blood and mood will make it so much more FUN, less action. Movie and more twisted Freddy Krueger Christmas gift for Sid, chrismassy vibe connected to all gore. 🤷🏻‍♀️

1. Dewey was older and weaker and caught off guard by Amber. Gale's boyfriend was also caught off guard from behind by Quinn. It's really not the end of the world.

What’s the point? Unhappy endings suck. Scream movies and the slasher genre in general, are good for punishing the bad guy every time. The Saw franchise is mostly crap because of that.

You can’t do that because scream 5 and 6 are major events that they cannot erase. If they wrote Sam out of the whole storyline that would be a major issue and it will flop badly because people grown to love the core 4. Is not easy to that because it would just be messy. And also scream 5 Sidney is so definitely not.

Facts. That's why I loved 5-6 cast so much. Because we had no idea who'd live and who'd die but with Sidney? We know she's untouchable and we know her story and at the end of the day, it becomes a bore. But with Sam/Tara? Everyone was talking about whether Tara was going to die or turn into Ghostface in Scream 6. God, those conversations was amazing and Jenna's such amazing talent that ANY director should drop to their knee's to get in their movie. That's why I loved 6 so much. It was a full fledged Radio Silence Scream movie. We got to see Jenna give Tara personality and her acting skills is on another level. 6 felt different and we truly didn't know who'd live or die in it. No more Sidney. Either give us a proper sequel to 6 with The Core Four or give us a completely new story and set of characters. Either way I'll never forgive Spyglass for ruining what we had with The Core Four.

For the Core Four and Carpenter Sisters, if there's a new Ghost-Face, the easiest option would be to have all of them killed off by that Ghost-Face Off-screen - having there a Newspaper article cameo to show that or something. Personally, I don't want that to be the case unless it has to do directly with this Ghost-Face(s)'s motive.
