Keyword here is registered, because if those are the registered numbers, the real numbers would be 10 to 100 times more bigger, because remember it's not easy for a victim to address their issues yet being able to file a complaint against it in a society where victim blaming is the norm. Only a handful are able to handle the hatred.

As horrible as our attitude is, unfortunately, there are societies/ countries with worse attitude than ours in the world. In Dubai for example, women are known to have been imprisoned for "having sex outside marriage" when they went to the police to file complaint about rape. I wonder what the situation might be in a society under Taliban rule for example 💔
