My favorite family food story is about a Thanksgiving I wish I had seen. My partner's great-grandmother brought out the turkey on a tray and dropped it on the floor in full view of the guests. She picked it up and took it back into the kitchen. After a few minutes she came back out with a turkey on a tray. As she carefully placed it on the table she said, "Thankfully, I made two." Everyone chose to believe her.

My favourite thing in food this month? I spent some time and energy creating a kangaroo patty that cooks like a beef burger. Then experimented with 22 different native Australian herbs and spices to create my own sauces. Even though im an Australian Aboriginal man, i was completely unaware of the amazing array of flavours that we have on our own land. Things like Cinnamon myrtle, Aniseed myrtle, Native thyme and native basil. Flavours that i get from bottles and bags imported, flavours that we already have here and have had for thousands of years. Ive decided that i want to try my hardest to promote the vast array of ingredients that we have available right here on our own land, and get people to try them for themselves..

My favourite thing in food at the moment is the mindset at my new(-ish, since september) workplace. Someone made too much chili oil - there's now a jar in the staff room where you can grab some and take home. Someone's growing veggies in their garden and sharing the seeds they don't need. Someone else sprouted too many chili plants and are now giving them away rather than just picking out and chucking away. The sharing is lovely!

As a cocktail bartender for a few years a few moons ago, would need to add a note to Ben on "once you've got it you never need to tastes it again" Drinks dilute differently depending on how its shaken, ice size, if it started ti melt egc. The beer battered cheese balls are a must and while I think I’ve tried virtually every burger on the menu (and they’re all great), my favourite is the PB+JJ - Double patty, American cheese, chunky peanut butter, bacon jam + smoked chilli jello. Would be great to see the guys up in the North East because despite the “it’s grim up north” stereotype we have some absolutely amazing restaurants - Sachin’s; Khai Khai; Mantra Thai and so many more - not to mention the bars/nightlife and of course all of the great fish places along the coast (Tynemouth a great shout if visiting in the summer months)

@@SortedFood Some cat food looks, smells and tastes better or at least as good as human food. It's just a bit bland because there are no spices added. Have a look at different price points, not just the cheapest supermarket stuff, you might get surprised.

I like this. It's like a podcast but it's short form which my GenX mind really likes, I also get to see everyone having fun joking around and giving some great advice/ideas/etc.

Honestly, I really like this format. Like, it is just so nice and relaxed, and it just... kind of helps me relax after a long, busy week. I really do appreciate Kush being in front of the camera more. I mean, he's no James Curry, but he's still just a lot of fun, and I really like having more exposure for him and the rest of the food team.
