We just need to stop the hate on any of the players and the manager. This is Pochettino’s first season ,we have a preponderance of young non premier league experienced players and a decimated squad through injuries. We need to be patient because I can see improvements and in the carabao cup final we were the better side as we were in the semi final. Things are improving, players will get better and the injured players will return and with that the team as a whole will vastly improve.

For sure, I kept saying this throughout the season, but a lot of people get their emotions take over them, even Yann wasn't immune to this. Cool heads and focus prevails, as you've mentioned, we have a whole bunch of 20-23 y.o. who never played PL and we suddenly want to be a top 4 side. Top 6 is still very well within the reach, Europa league should be a good start and experience for these lads. Get Poch a proper striker and we'll be cooking!

I agree with what your saying, you make a few fair and valid points but personally I get a feeling that the players and manager are getting the backlash from the fans mainly because they are responsible to what happens when it comes to match time but other than that fans are unhappy with the Chelsea 😢ownership and recruitment but because that is something that is harder to change or rectify they are aiming all their frustrations in the wrong place. Understandably fans will look to take the easy option and blame the players and manager but it is not them in charge of the clubs structure and transparency when it come to important decisions regarding the club. These owners need to prove everyone wrong and change the recruitment model because the majority of fans I speak to are starting to believe that the owners are just here for profit and are going to ruin our club in football terms which should be the main purpose!

Chelsea have the LF/WB, they are out on loan. Personally I think they need World Class in a GK, CD that can command the area and take charge, now that Silva is leaving and most definitely a Striker and that Striker role they have been crying out for going on a few Seasons now. Although Chelsea had Costa, who was really a pain in the butt, they have not had a decent Striker since Drogba. But you are right, they have far too many injury prone Players and Players they really do not need, that are just not good enough. My question is, they knew certain Players were injury prone before signing them (Chilwell, W, Fofana, Nkunku, to name but 3) so why sign them in the first place?! Of course the other problem Chelsea now have is, most of these Players are on VERY long term contracts and on really good money, so will they want to leave.

@@ronsmaleconstructionltd5688 Although you are right, he has been a Striker all Season and my point is, he is not learning and that is his fault. Even if you did not know he was a Winger, you can certainly see that he is one and he has certainly played enough games, as a Striker this Season, to be learning and to have been taught something as to how a Striker finishes, but there is no improvement on that score since he first started there in September last year. I started off as a left back/wingback, but we desperately needed a fast reliable CD, that could command the area,, so I was taught how to become one and I became a very good one within a Season, even played there for my Country, but no point in trying to convert a Winger into a Striker, if he cannot learn. Kind of reminds me of Einstein's definition on "insanity"...."Insanity - Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results". Sadly that is Jackson. Chelsea have tried all sorts there, Sterling, Mudryk, Palmer, Nkunku (what a waste of money he is turning into....), I am waiting for them to give Silva a crack there lol. Personally I think, instead of spending money on those 5,000 Midfielders they now have and on those injury prone Players, they knew were injury prone to start with, they should have taken half of the money and purchased a \world Class Striker instead. I would love to see Jackson in the position he was signed for, I think he could be a very exciting watch, but a Striker he is not and as much as Jackson is not learning, Pochettino should be learning that himself. Why not put Washington there? After all, now what have Chelsea got to lose and it will give him valuable experience. Liverpool did that..... They had this fine young talent and no one really to play as a Striker, at the time, one of the Liverpool Coaches went up to the then Manager Roy Evans and said: "Why not play the young lad there, we have nothing to lose" So the next game they tried him and he was sensational, scoring on his debut against Wimbledon, at 17 years old. That Player was Michael Owen :0) Who knows, that could be Washington, we live in hope lol

It is absolutely shameful that people with big platforms online, full adults with kids, choose to actively abuse a 22 year old for some cheap views. It is especially infuriating when a pundit, who has been in the footballing stage, does it. I hope one day, there is someone within football, and with balls, calls out these people and shames them to retirement on an open stage. It's honestly vile. Hated it when Souness did it to Pogba. Hated it when Merson tried it with Jackson. All of these failed coaches trying to be relevant.

*I appreciate this different perspective on Jackson and other aspects regarding Chelsea. Most of our fans are knee jerk and reactionary in nature. Even some KZbinrs who I am like are going crazy with their reactions too which is disappointing and I may unsubscribe to some of them. My take on it is Jackson plays on the wings where he has had his best games for us. Poch should do that in his line ups. We can try a kid in the academy or one of the under 21s. Maybe even play without a striker or even bring back Lukaku. As for Poch, his subs yesterday were far too late. Back to our strikers, we need to buy two proven ones in summer*

I also posted this on your instagram, Jackson wasn’t bought as a finished product and his development has been fantastic if you ask me.... 6 years ago he was playing bare foot in Senegal, 2.5 years ago he made his senior top flight debut for Villarreal, 1 year ago he was still a winger. Compare his footballing education to the coaching, facilities and advantages the average striker in an EPL or elite academies benefit from from the age of 7 or 8 years old... He's actually been brilliant. And still nowhere near his peak.

Yan I have expressed through out this season that I am not sold on Jackson as the future number one striker for this club IF the goal is to win league titles and trophies. I don’t question his physical ability but I do not see the instinct that really good strikers have. I hesitate to call out any individual player but a strikers main responsibility is to score. If stretching the defense is the goal sign a track and field runner. Jackson as the number two striker I have no problem with. But I don’t see any one that is confident with Jackson’s decision making in front of goal. Another great video Yan.

Jackson isn’t a striker (yet). He’s a converted winger and still plays like it. Still dribbles in the box is always looking for the assist. The hate against Jackson is over the top for sure. He played really well, just naive when through in goal. That will improve in time. Wouldn’t be totally against lukaku coming back but he’d have to literally beg forgiveness and leave it out on thr pitch every match. I think poch needs to be given the benefit of doubt tbh. He’s not the one missing chances or making poor decisions on the pitch. Played well enough to win that match and played well against the bigger teams mostly. I don’t see any point in getting rid. Things starting to click on the pitch I think.

I agree with you Yan. This is a transition season for Chelsea and there are lots of imbalance and inconsistency within the clubs. I'd say give Poch another year. I also at times felt very angry towards him but it's only right for us to see how he handle Chelsea next season with much improve of knowledge of the club and the players. If you guys really compare Klopp and Pep first season at their respective clubs, they don't dominated England straight away. It took them a couple of seasons to hit the ground running. Ideally I don't want to see Poch for more than 3 seasons, because I don't think he had what it takes to win trophies but if he did win something after this (like Sarri did for us in 2018) then I might my change my mind.

For sure Nicolas Jackson's finishing and composure in front of goal can be very annoying at times but I think given the circumstances he has had a decent first season. He has shown the mentality to keep going - much bigger names have wilted under the pressure upfront and whilst Jackson has lacked the composure he's shown the spirit to keep making the runs and continuing to link the play well. Someone able to do that at such a big club with big media interest especially given Chelsea's struggles and a relative lack of fan support - compare Chelsea fans and Jackson to say Liverpool fans and Nunez last season - I think such a character should be persisted with, he's probably not going to be an elite finisher any time soon but he doesn't need to be to be very valuable he just needs to be a decent finisher - someone like Ollie Watkins starting from a higher base but is definitely seen as a better finisher now than he was 12-18 months ago. Hopefully we can end the season with a decent run and go into next season with at least some positivity with players starting from 0 again (apart from Palmer - please keep this form up!) rather than with the negativity that has surrounded parts of this season.

@@PhiccLIVE yeah the thing with the pen was bad but the responsibility of taking a pen when 4-0 up isn't comparable to having to score a weaker chance against City when it's 0-0. I'm sure he'd be asking Poch for starts if he'd be our No.2. And he's not been entirely unable to provide either. Keep Poch till end of his contract see how we've progressed. Is the sane choice. No other managers available. Palmer likes playing for him. Hopefully we get some luck in the injury department next season. Get a couple of players end of the season to compliment Palmer also. A striker, a defender. Nkunku is in team training now, so I hope Nkunku and Palmer can get working on some chemistry on the pitch, with the remaining matches. That will be key for the future I reckon. Hopefully people can see that the players we have right now are not ready like Jackson and Noni. Noni yesterday showed utter greediness every time he was on the ball. If he had played Palmer in a few times early we might have scored or at least created something. Palmer was on point with every through ball yesterday.
