@@silverbackag9790 I'm going to push back on that one Matt pushes products, in videos where he tells you he's going to push products in the video title. He also does the same thing with products he wished he hadn't bought. He also tells you when he's getting profit off of sales vs when he isn't (the recent shelix planer, for example), as any decent creator should. When he is going to recommend or review something for potential buyers, he is using it for a while beforehand (3M orbital, sawstop tabletop table saw, the the aforementioned shelix cutter head planer, among others). Now, I didn't know all the creators in this video, mainly 731 and Blacktail, and have recently started watching Spencley, so if you were referring to a different one, disregard.

I’m very mildly annoyed by the fact that the ‘metal pencil’ contains a significant amount of plastic. The GraphGear 1000 is a great pencil for the price, but it does have a significant weak point at the(plastic) connection between the the two main sections. That green pencil is great when close enough is good enough. It is basically a framing thing. If you have to use that grater thing it comes with to make a fine point, I would rather work in a coal mine. A few years back I bought virtually every mechanical pencil that Jet Pens recommended, and those new carpentry pencils like the Nicpro and Pikka. I have to say that the regular pencils are still the best if you can keep up with the sharpening. It is funny that woodworkers think using pointing plane is too tough for them. Wait till Festool comes out with a good sharpener. Actually with the Nicpro, you still have to sharpen it, and the pencil sharper is so small it should come with an app so you can find it.

This video can basically apply to 90% of all youtube videos lol, I love the guys that provide actual value in their videos, and go for quality over quantity. What also cracks me up are when channels like Bourbon Moth plug stuff from sponsors that dont even apply to their channel!! He has plugs in his videos for stupid kitchen knives LOL I get it everyone wants to make money but there is a difference between using something that is a decent product and subtly mentioning it with a link vs selling out and pitching something like QVC...its unbecoming and nobody takes it seriously, detracts from the channel and the brand, and most importantly the creditability of the creator. I will never trust anything else they say because they are pitching what I already know to be garbage.
