That game chair doesn't seem so silly now lol. Look into getting a flying gaff. Take care, stay safe..
@sailinghonutime4 ай бұрын
Hey John, WTH I've never heard or seen of one of those but that could be a game changer! It's so awkward to reel in on the side of the boat to begin with, having the dinghy in the way make it a pain to do anything off the Stern. But wow the flying Gaff is the way to go! Cheers 🍻

@@sailinghonutime maybe look into a belt with a rod bucket for those bigger fish. It will save your back and give better leverage.

😂😂😂 I gotta say I love you guys fishing style 1 rod and 3 hands 😲 and then he gotta way 😰. That's fishing but Josh's shoulders must be really hurting and then you get a following sea and no wind, not a great way to spend the night, in the morning shots I could see that lazy swell behind you and I know from sailing central NZ waters that just sux the energy out of you. So hopefully after some shut eye you'll be feeling better and ready to explore new beaches and clear waters 👍👍😋😋🇳🇿

Yeah it's funny we've never really invested mich in our gear, and with Josh's shoulders in the shape they are in.. we really made this Mission Impossible haha. Cheers John!

I like that bimini hard top and soft top extension. Any videos on that? Who made it for you guys? Thanks!
@sailinghonutime4 ай бұрын
Game changer. The hardtop was already on Honu when we bought him. We had a canvas guy create the rest of the enclosure. We are hoping to extend the hardtop all the way to the back. Future plans.

You know when you catch a fish you need to have the line running through the eyes the right way and you can turn the ratchet off so you don’t wreck your reel!

Worst gaff job ever.............get a net as backup !!! Tip of the day !!!!
@sailinghonutime4 ай бұрын
10-4 ans Roger that. We've since extended the gaff from 3.5ft to 6ft that has helped, haveing to lean over a railing to reach down 3.5 ft with two recently dislocated shoulders made it 100 percent, the worst gaff job ever, not that any previous ones looked much better.. haha. But we are slowly building our fishing garage to land the lunkers. Cheers.
