Mudlarking With Kit & Caboodlers

Жыл бұрын

Well this week we managed to find something we have been searching for for years! It is not quite want we expected but may actually be rarer! Come with us to see what we found on the foreshore!
We have a patreon page for anyone wishing to support us.
We also have a Ko-fi account, so if you wanted to support us by buying us a metaphorical cup of coffee it would be greatly appreciated xx

The brush handle would make a really cool base for a dolls house grandfather clock! So glad you were able to find a pot lid!! ❤

I was wondering if Tom Burleigh did the music for this one? You're so eagle eyed, Kate. Those teensy beads are difficult to spot.Fleursmarble is exquisite. Thank you again.

I hope I can help. Take a picture of just the lid with the label. Next take it into your photography editing software. Then turn the contrast up really high, darken the darkest pigments. Also sometimes making it black & white helps see the contents better. Then sharpen and nose reduction. All this just might help with you identify the label even more. As always ❤❤❤❤❤ your videos.

For your smaller beads take along a safety pin and slide them on it and pin it to your pants, shirt or skirt so you don't lose them.

Best find was that marble Fleur, followed by the lid and your resultant joy at finding it! Kate, the ‘ruby’ in that piece of metal was a lovely colour, perhaps you could take it out and use it as a jewel for one of the dolls house occupants. Enjoy your holiday and take care of yourselves.

What fun finds again. ♥️ I was thinking, you could make a winking or ornery teddy bear with the broken teddy bear eye. Just have to find a whole or partial one of about the same size. 😁 And, of course, sew a bear… or repair a bear missing an eye. 😉

Im always excited by your posts. Kate, please laugh at what I'm going to say. I would never say anything unkind or with menace to you but my granddaughter was watching with me and asked if you know that you have nail fungus .....lmao! Out off the mouths of babes! I told her it is not a fungus and just polish. Then she said that it must glow in the dark. Too funny. Love to you both from Oklahoma. I'm thinking of sending you some doll's house stuff just to hear the adorable excitement in your voice as when you find something.

When I saw that Vat 69 bottle, and the fact it was whole, it made my mouth water. Vat 69 was the choice of drink for Capt. Nixon in the mini-series “Band Of Brothers”, and I am a big fan of that series. I used to dig for bottles with my dad, and people would ask why we were doing that. Dad would always say, “We are looking for the second jar full of $10,000.00.” Then people would say, “You found a jar with $10,000.00?” Dad would then say, “No, that’s why we were looking for the second one, we gave up on the first.” I sure miss those times with Dad.
