Gintama. Sweet adzuki beans on rice really is as close to heaven as it gets. I’m glad that at least a fictional character agrees with me lmao. I vaguely remember they had an episode with eggs over rice as well, which is a legit japanese staple that’s awesome too. Anime food may look amazing but the excessive, over-the-top portrayals of people rushing for discounted supermarket food in j-doramas will never stop being funny. Gotta say though that japan’s croquettes are worth the insanity portrayed in shows. Food aside, i’d love to live in the world of barakamon. Everyone is hilarious and rural setting ftw. Not a fan of kids but damn, naru is beyond adorable!
