I'm soooo touched by the fact that: 1. Jimmy's mom introduced Malaysian food to her friends through Jimmy and IChang 2. The dedication IChang and Jimmy put into making everything from scratch 3. How confident IChang is now in making her favourite Malaysian dessert 'tepung pelita' 4. How the guests were entertained by Jimmy and Ichang's explanation (and the teh tarik performance!) and how they enjoyed the meal 5. The cute aunt with short hair using cucumber to scoop the rice, hey that's actually a professional move to enjoy nasi lemak! Honestly I was feeling down the whole day but watching this video really puts a smile on my face and for that, thank you IChang and Jimmy. Please stay healthy and happy always you two!

Me too, watching from 🗾.❤👍 Sugoku omoshiroi! Q: How do you managed to get fresh lemongrass, Iran bilis,(l used chirimen n shallow fry them till crispy), pandan leaves n shallots? I cant seem to get these fresh ingredients in Kobe. Ichang n Jimmy, did you use gula melaka(concentrated dark brown syrup/molass that are commonly use in dessert like Chendol), or gula kelapa(coconut brown sugar)? Love watching the 2 of you. So much fun, n Jimmy's English is jozu! Subarashii! Teh tarik with ginger juice, motto oishii. Actually, Teh Tarik is originally Southern Indian drink, but the Malay named it Teh(tea) Tarik(pull). Not sure of the Southern Indian name. Pandan leaves(daun for leaves) so we say daun pandan in Malay, same as Peranakan pronunciation).

Not only did ichang & jimmy learned how to cook Malay foods you two also showed very Malay ways of feeding ur guests. The malay culture of entertaining guests is that when they have guests they will want to serve food & drinks. And they will cook when they can and if they can’t they will buy food for their guests. Its our belief that when guests come into our home they will bring good luck & fortunes & when our guests leave they wil drag out the negative auras & vibes. Of course they will not bring those negative vibes back with them so don’t worry 😄😆😅😅. And also muslims believe that when they give food or pay the food bills for others, they will be rewarded many times over in the form of good fortunes and happiness. And this is what ichang & Jimmy is doing. Cooking delicious food for their guests. And serving them with kindness and grace. Both of u are showing very good examples of being good hosts for ur guests. Good job & well done. ❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
