Brilliant on many levels. Great to catch a casual conversation with Colin where he's not frenzied building something dangerous, and get some insight into his old projects, while making a really useful tool, to hold really useful tools. Need a bunch for my own modest workshop where 40 years of tool collection sits unorganized and unprotected! EDIT: WAIT WAIT WAIT, the pads are around 10 pounds a drawer?!? How do I not already have these in my workshop? That seems really affordable.
@TheXJRMAN2 жыл бұрын
40 years could mean a few tools, great thing is they give you organised layering so larger awkward shaped tools can sit on top and the draws still close. This and trap mat from gear wrench means no more messy tool boxes!
@ShadowFoam2 жыл бұрын
I would love to see how you get on cutting all those tools into Shadow Foam, please let me know if you need any help with anything!
@foldionepapyrus34412 жыл бұрын
Damn good comment. I agree its nice to see a bit of the man behind the madness of Furze... But if you hadn't mentioned the price I'd not actually have bothered looking, figuring it was too expensive to be worth it - my mishmash of tools I inherited and all the bits I've picked up in the last 15 odd years are already sorted well enough to get by, mostly in recycled cardboard box cutouts. I would however be astonished if the foam wouldn't be neater, look way nicer and allow for even denser tool placement! Don't know when I'll get round to doing it though...
@mundanestuff2 жыл бұрын
@@TheXJRMAN absolutely. In my case, it's a stable selection of tools and I occasionally upgrade depending on opportunity. The result is a modest tool box of quality tools, but most importantly, the most useful tools. And I'm only filling a small 46" mobile tool chest.

This foam is awesome stuff. Never even heard of it until I saw the Furze workshop video. It's great to see all the extra content with Colin and yourself. I'm just about to start building a reloading room for precision shooting, so going to get some of this stuff as I have loads of rifle dies, and loads of other smallish tools as well as scopes, trigger systems and moderators, and wasn't sure how I was going to organise all of them, but this will be ideal. I'm in a wheelchair, so having everything easy to reach and visible is crucial for me. Keep up the good work.😁

@Shadow Foam Not yet. But I will definitely check it out now. This stuff would be ideal for gun cases and cabinets. At the moment in my gun cabinet my rifles and shotguns are held in place with pretty flimsy foam, but your foam would be 100% better. I could carve out the butt stock shape and they'd stand up way better.

My younger brother (Brian) introduced me to the Colin Furze KZbin channel about 6 years ago.Brian was fascinated with Colin's crazy inventions, and fearless attitude to everything. Sadly, Brian is no longer with us (taken at the age of tender age of 57 by Cancer on 28th March 2020). I have continued to watch Colin Furze since being introduced. I have been fascinated by the tunnelling project in particular. To see that Colin now has a barn, with (I don't know) hundreds of thousands of pounds of machines, tools and equipment, is simply stunning. The whole thing is made so professional by Shadow Foam. It's a great way to organise tools, to immediately spot when something is missing, and show that you are professional organisation. I have no interest in winning a prize, but if I do, I would like that prize to be auctioned, with the proceeds donated to a Cancer charity of your choosing.

I like Ties. Thank Colin for another subscriber. Shadow Foam is soooo awesome. I challenge you to think outside the box with this stuff. Not only can it be used with tools, but collectibles too. Just think of all the action figures you can put on display. Anything really, even your cutlery draw, if you have an issue with cockroaches in your kitchen, you can use Shadow Foam to fill all the space and carve out just enough for the knives and forks, with no space remaining for the cockroaches. Plus do to it's ridged design, it's not just for making display racks for your various items, but it's ridged enough to make things out of it to be displayed, (see if Nerdforge can't prove me wrong.). As a maker, it's worth investing in this ingenious Shadow Foam for your builder or collector space, even home use has you covered and at such a low price, how can you go wrong? Get yours, buy lots and buy often. ...now did somebody say something about a tie?

I've taken a lot of inspiration from Colin over the years. I just looked this up, how is this so cheap? I expect this to be at LEAST 3x as much. Thinking i need a bit of a re-org of my workshop to fit some shadow foam in too. :-)

You've got a lot more patience than I do, Jona, especially with those logos. Enjoying your channel, by the way.

Haha I need patience to ensure I don’t slip up on those logos

Love the result! Would love to use this in my own workshop (and wear the tie whilst cutting!) 👍🏻

Great video guys. Most enjoyed the story about the swing and the builders etc cheering Colin on when he first did the 360° 👍

Loved this video! So nice to see a casual chat with Colin! Need to get myself some shadow foam for my new shed which I built based on Colin's 'Really solid shed!'
