Congrats on your new apartment. Can’t wait to see it when you get settled. One note of caution: I lived in an apartment in DC that had floor to ceiling windows and it was like an oven on sunny days. You’ll need to get some heavy curtains / curtain liners.

So excited for you and Bart! Congratulations on choosing a new place - can't wait to see a moving vlog and new apartment vlog! Oh - also, I used to have that dresser you were looking at at IKEA. I loved it, actually - very nicely made and I actually really liked it. I had it in blue. I only got rid of it because I moved across the country and didn't want to bring it with. I've found that lately IKEA seems to have different levels of furniture - some of the same ol' cheap stuff perfect for a dorm room or first apartment, but they also have nicer stuff.

That ikea dresser is amazing. I’ve had mine for 8 years and it’s such a great piece and can fit so much!! Takes some time to put together but so worth it.

If you wanted to try a local option for a new dresser, you could try looking on a yardsale Facebook page for NYC. I did that in Chicago and loved it because I was able to find really nice furniture for super inexpensive. :)

I have that dresser from IKEA! I have had it since this past Christmas. It’s great! But, putting it together SUCKS! It took my buddy and I about 5 hours to put it together with following the directions and watching a video. It was not fun at all but once it is put together, it’s really nice!
