Glad y’all played battle spirits saga it’s easily my favorite tcg just wanted to clarify a few things for the two of you 1st.the first player does get to draw a card 2nd after drawing the top four cards both players decide to mulligan if you do mulligan your hand stays at four if you keep you draw an extra card(so the first player should start with six cards in hand if they keep or 5 if they mulligan)3rd unfortunately it’s not explained in the cards itself but when a spirit hits zero bp it is destroyed automatically as a game mechanic so blade Dino parasail should have died after it got drowsy fumed without being blocked

It's a fun game, but Bandai is such a crap company. Every time they have something going for them, they either shut it down or shoot it in the foot. Here's hoping that doesn't happen to BSS.

hey heads up. you the first player can draw on their first turn. also if yo can do a mulligan. the player(s) who keep their opening hands without doing a mulligan can draw an extra card before the game starts. so player 1 can have 6 cards on their opening turn (+1 from not mulligan and +1 on the draw step) the same is for the player going second. the only thing turn cant do is get a core. i mean its on the back on the game mat.

Would love to see you guys try out the new Evangelion collaboration cards. Bss is a good but very underrated game. I still love it even though it has a smaller player base. Everyone that I show the game really enjoys it, but are just intimidated to get started playing a niche title without some help. A ton of the early cards can be gotten for dirt cheap so it's actually a really easy game to get into to play for fun.

Ngl they used to come with glass cores in the original english starter decks and I would just put them in my mouth sometimes. I would wash them after, but one time at least two cores fell into the sink so I was down a few cores.

It's so silly that Battle Spirits went from the BS on the Japanese cards, to a B in the original English release, and then to BSS in the new release. Then again the original English printing was American standard size while the Japanese release was JP standard like Yugioh and Wixoss. The original was my childhood favourite, sad it got discontinued in like two years.

You can get core cards from packs they are duel sided with tokens from set 2 on and set one are just the core cards in every pack and you can also use anything as a core as long as you can identify what is regular core and what is the soul core. I’ve seen people use yugioh cards as their core

You can use anything for the cores, you just need to specify which one is the Soul Core (Red one) People use dices, pebbles, Coins, cards, anything goes but you NEED to tell which one is which. If you buy a booster pack, they come with a card of a core, which are double sided, in one side it has the image of a Soul/Core and the backside a number that you can use to specify how many cores the spirit/reserve/trash has

If you don't like the core management, you won't like the game. A big part of the game is balancing the cores you spend on creatures and the cores you distribute to your board.
