So a few things - The best way to learn maps is to do custom games, and just walk around, but there are a TON of maps, so it might take awhile. As far as the exit gates, when the gates are first powered, they will appear in white where they are for about 5 seconds, so be sure you pay attention to that. The reason the exit appeared blocked as Wraith was because the killer can't go beyond that point, the survivors can. You were getting the "blessed" thing because of what is known as a "Boon Totem'. Basically, there's these little totems (skulls) around the maps, and some survivor perks let you bless them with things that help the team. Likewise, killers get Hexes which curse the survivors. Trapper is one of my favorite killers to play, he definitely doesn't suck, you just have to know good trap placements, and level up your abilities. Same with survivors. As far as a killer to buy, Sadako is fun but she definitely isn't the best in chases. Some of my favorites are Michael Myers, Ghostface, The Plague, the Pig and Nemesis. All have their unique styles of play. If you have people to play with, it's a lot easier on new players, as you talked about voice chat, most people go on Discord and chat as survivors for coordination. Anyway, sorry for the length of this, but I hope this helped a little, and hope you guys try some more of this in the future.

Lmao this is the funniest thing ever 😂 don't worry, I was also this clueless when I started. Just some tips 1. Turn up your game audio. A lot of the gameplay relies on the sounds. For example, if playing as killer, you can hear survivor footsteps and their cries if they're injured. Also this is your main indicator to hear if a gen has repair progress or not. For survivor, you can hear and identify which killer it is by their terror radius (most killers have a unique terror radius). It's also your indicator if the killer is near you. You can even hear stealth killers because they still have ambient sounds they make even if they don't have a terror radius (Wraith's purring noise, Michael's heavy breathing, Sadako's high pitched static) 2. Killer is definitely the harder role lol. Trapper and Wraith are indeed on the weaker side as far as killers go, but they're also beginner friendly. See, if you're cloaked as Wraith, the survivors don't hear the intense music, so it's easy to ambush them. He also gets a small speed boost when uncloaking so that's a good way to catch up. Trapper, on the other hand, doesn't do much in chase either, but it can make you very paranoid playing against him. You don't know if he could have trapped a pallet you're running to, or a window you're vaulting. Good Trappers can trap non-obvious spots and catch survivors off-guard. He is especially deadly if he's trapped someone in the basement in the killer shack, and he's completely locked down the area. I've had games basically end so abruptly because he got 2 people in the basement and the other 2 come to rescue, only to get trapped as well. 3. Look behind you if playing survivor, so you know how far the killer is from you if you're being chased. Also, don't run in a straight line, learning how to loop optimally comes with experience, but you can watch survivor gameplay from pros to get a good feel. I recommend Ayrun and Probzz. 4. Yeah, the survivors in the Wraith match you played could tell you were new... and were kinda bullying you 😬 you managed to down the Mikaela (23:10) and picked her up, however you were on a pallet and her teammates dropped it to stun you and save her. As for the end when you were camping the Kate (24:00), and you hit her again after she got saved, the teammate who rescued her had a perk called Borrowed Time, which gives a free hit to someone they unhook. Also she had a perk called Decisive Strike, which means that for 60 seconds after being unhooked, she can stab a killer and break free. And lastly she used a Styptic Agent (a medkit add-on) to give herself another free hit. 5. Pay attention to the HUD and survivor icons. It can tell you if someone is being chased or being hooked, or how many more generators you need to do 6. The exploding sounds you were asking about were basically the survivor bots exploding the gen by missing skill checks. They're programmed to do that to give you an indicator on where they are. If you miss a skill check as survivor that's what the killer sees. 7. The glowy thing in your survivor match was a boom totem, which is a perk one of your teammates had. Depending on which boon it is, it could have been a boon to heal yourself within a set radius, a boon that makes you get up on your own if the killer downed you in that area, or it could hide scratch marks. I think your teammate had all 3. You could have healed yourself there, your screen gets a blue glow if you're inside the area. 8. You see where the exit gates are once all gens are repaired, you just have to look around. Otherwise, you can just follow the walls until you find it. On the particular map you were in, the Gideon Meat Plant, the gates always spawn at the upper floor and are always opposite of each other. On the other hand, the hatch is always on the lower floor. 9. For the free killers you have, Wraith and Trapper are definitely the easiest to use. Huntress also technically is easy to understand, but she has such a high skill ceiling when it comes to aiming and throwing hatchets. Definitely do not touch Nurse and Hillbilly either, they're very hard to use for newbies lol. Recommendation for a non-free killer who's also easy to use, the Doctor. He has a built-in way to tell where survivors are, and an anti-loop once you get used to his power. He was my first killer and I still have a fondness for him today. That's all I could think of for now 😂 you'll get better with more game time. Good luck and have fun!

im 2 weeks late but the best killers to play for beginners is the cannibal and the clown. they are quite easy to learn and they teach you the basics of the game and their powers are generally more useful all around. funnily enough, the artist and the nurse, the one you wanted to play, are among the hardest killers to play due to their extremely specific powers that require precision. and because of this, they are among the best (rank 5 and rank 1 respectively imo) when mastered because there is so much you can do with them. edit: also, cheers dahil i see fellow filos reacting and trying to play dbd! sana magustuhan niyo

This game wasn’t as infuriating when you thought it was just because you were new/bad But when you realize the game is so horribly balanced getting good doesn’t mean anything for killer.
@OntheSidePH2 жыл бұрын
Is the game really that imbalanced?
@spencerbowden29792 жыл бұрын
@@OntheSidePH the truest statement ever said about this game was by streamer Otzdarva who declared the game isn’t survivor or killer sided it’s purely scumbag sided. Problem is survivors have easier access to the broken stuff on their side which is perks and communications meanwhile on killer side the only things strong enough to make a game broken are specific addons which are limited in quantity. There are also several maps in this game that have bad rng balance, completely brain dead loops that take no skill to run and sometimes a mixture of both. Now this map you drew wasn’t that bad shelter woods has no infinites and dead zones are easily created here. But the survivors were still running meta perks. The devs have addressed the meta is a problem in this game because survivors and killers don’t run anything other than slowdown meta and second chance meta. Allegedly it’s all getting reworked this summer. But people have put up with this bs for years before it’s finally been addressed.

It's one thing to be a noob at games/game mechanics, we've all been there, but what is the point of doing the tutorial if you just ignore all of it? You're asking why the hatch isn't there when the whole team is alive, yet the tutorial explains it only appears when one person is left. Paying attention goes a long way.
@OntheSidePH2 жыл бұрын
Good point, but it must have slipped our minds in the actual game. We were playing to have fun so we didn't exactly memorize every instruction given to us lol. I'm sure we'll be more used to the small details and mechanics once we play more 😁
