Match Review: - Its the second game of the season and it's not looking good. SDS FC started off the season strong, however like many feared they couldn't maintain that sort of form. After much anticipation Faysal made his debut and I think it's fair to say he could have done better, he got carried away with the ball at his feet and was caught lacking on various occasions. Riyad Mahrez torched the defense, and although the likes of Sharky, Liban and Suhail played well it was not enough. Hopefully, this team can work on these mistakes and do better in the future. Match Ratings GW2 (6 being the average) Stars: 5/10, looked off the pace tonight but seemed out of character for Stars as we know how good he can be. Next week is his game and I know it, beautiful outside of the boot finish though. Lyes: 5/10, We know Lyes is quality but he didn’t seem to get so many minutes today. Much like Stars, he seemed slightly off the pace today but, as we know, this wasn’t the usual Lyes we see. Put in a shift but improvements to come. Faysal: 5.5/10, The debut was beautiful to see and he surprised me with his quality of play but I think he’ll be disappointed with his performance. You can see the potential for him to grow into this team but he was too relaxed in front of his own goal and I feel some urgency and decisiveness was needed. Promising start. Suhil: 6/10, We all know this wasn’t Suhil’s average performance but he still controlled the game well. Seemed a bit shaky and nervous on the ball today and didn’t look like the Rolls Royce he showed himself to be last week but, as I said, we know what this man can do. Sharky: 7/10, Once again was nowhere near Sharky’s full potential but looked solid and progressed the ball nicely, taking some shots on and beating players comfortably. Teams won’t b e as good as this in the future so I can’t wait to see Sharky stat-padding. 7/10 may be a bit generous but the potential is obvious, he just needs to have THAT game. Abz: 8.5/10, For some reason this man majorly goes under the radar. He understand his body and how to use it and throw it around, his feet are like magic wands. I wanna see what’s in those boots. Abz controls everything and NEEDS to start getting the recognition he deserves. Liban: 9/10, My MOTM Liban. The attacking presence that’s needed in the squad, relentless pressing. Rangnick would love this man. If this had been a win it would be a straight 10 but we need to see more minutes once his fitness is back. Liban is the real deal and I had my doubts before I’d seen him play but this performance surprised me. REAL player. What I will say about this team is the sheer composure on the ball EVERY single player has. These power league sweats won’t be playing every week so next week is the chance to climb the table and show improvements. Top 3 players of the season so far: 1. Rin 2. Abz 3. Liban
