I wonder how long it'll take them to know that you can't stop a hunt after it started, just prevent it from happening (and there isn't really a sign if it's prevented by the crucifix). Sark should've known by now. Those times where the ghost appears, make noises and doesn't hunt don't mean that a hunt was prevented/stopped, it's just a random ghost event.
