We Played Star Wars Jedi: Survivor And It’s The Ultimate Jedi Power Trip [NO STORY SPOILERS!]

[NO STORY SPOILERS!] We played Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and it is the ultimate Jedi power trip. Forget the youngling Cal Kestis was in the first game, in this Jedi Survivor gameplay you’ll see a Jedi knight reaching the peak of his powers. Dave and Ash give us their Jedi Survivor reaction and talk about new powers, lightsaber stances, animal friends and the amazing world that gives you so much more Star Wars to explore. Dave thinks it puts you in the shoes of a Jedi like no game before it.
We’ve got heaps of Jedi Survivor impressions from our hands-on demo. We’ve played over three hours of Star Wars gameplay, exploring a new planet and trying out side missions. Yes, we even killed a Rancor. And yes, Jedi Survivor dismemberment is a thing - you’ll be lopping off alien parts all over the shop.
At one point a developer showed us how crazy the action gets in the later stages of the game - you won’t believe what a fully powered Cal is capable of. We also take a look at Jedi Survivor customization, showing how you can further shape the ultimate Jedi experience. Are you excited for the game? More game developers should offer free demos for their games!

I think every game should have a demo. It builds hype and it leaves the gamer with a taste of what to expect which will encourage them to want more. And if it’s a free demo you may get people who weren’t even interested in the game in the first place. I recently played the diablo 4 demo. I really didn’t think I would like the game because it’s not my style, but because it was free I tried it out and actually loved it and I’ll get the full game when it comes out.

Fallen Order made me fall in love with Star Wars. I had previously only seen Mando and Rogue One. I platted FO then went on a giant Star Wars marathon, watching all the movies, shows and animations. Safe to say I am HYPED for this ❤

The shorter lightsaber is called a shoto and technically Cal does have one because when you customize your lightsaber the right end is smaller there by a bit, but it’s such a small difference you don’t notice it in gameplay like you definitely notice with Ashoka’s on television.

Words cannot describe how excited I am for this game. I love star wars so much. Finally we’re getting the single player Star Wars games we deserve. ❤ and the crazy part is that I feel like we’ve barely scratched the surface of what this game has to offer. We know next to nothing about the story and the only planet we’ve seen is Koboh and it already looks amazing. Koboh looks looks like it has lots of fun stuff to explore. The white lightsaber looks amazing. I’ll be rocking that as soon as it’s unlocked. Man the 28th can’t come soon enough I’m praying we get a demo ahead of time.

I guess but they're still applied better in these games imo. TFU games didn't exactly require a whole lot of thought as to how you use your powers which was cool spectacle wise cause you could sort reek havoc but pretty shallow gameplay wise. I do miss the force grip ragdolling of enemies though.

I'm soooooooo happy that I think for the first time ever the main character doesn't somehow lose all his powers for a sequel. It's always so infuriating and most of the time nonsensical. Like it's obvious that they do that so the game has "some" difficulty. There are other ways to increase a game's difficulty without resetting all your powers. So cliché and it's just bad, lazy design. So this game is already 9/10 to me. So excited!

Really liked Fallen Order. The one complaint I have was actually shown in this video at 1:00. Some enemies (that are not bosses) take far too long to beat imo. It slows the game down to a hault when there is an enemy the player needs to parry/counter four or five times to kill them. We've seen lightsabers cut through 3 foot think metal doors and I'm supposed to believe it takes four to five slashes to kill a droid? To make some enemies more difficult than others I think they should modify them to deal more damage or be quicker so there is a smaller parry window, not just give them more health which is annoying and logically doesn't make sense.

Till the industry accepts lightsabers as more than glorified baseball bats I'm passing on star wars games. The last good one was force unleashed 2.
