In my opinion, this course belongs on the tour as the flag ship par three style golf. It is a classic style of disc golf that is not always shown on tour but is incredible to play and watch. Seeing some of the best players take on a course like this and the winner having to battle every hole to keep a Birdie streak going. It’s awesome and I love watching the pro’s play this course.

Now I love Maple hill, it’s a great course and I understand why all the KZbin content is there for it. BUT MAN I miss the days of DeLa being the internet disc golf mecha. Such a cool course, thanks for bringing it back!

Every time i see this course it just makes me miss the old days. Makes that central coast song pop into my head. I remember this course was like the mecha of disc golf, the ultimate representation of the sport. Now it doesnt even seem too overly difficult for someone like me who isnt very good.

That is basically true. At dela there is only one basket position at a time, but most holes have multiple positions which are switched around each month. There are a few holes that do become par 4s in their longest pin positions.

What I remember most about De La was the 5 1/2-hour Masters Cup round entirely in the rain. (circa '93) That was the closest I ever came to crying on a course. Good times!

We have those boot brushes on all 18 holes at the course in gleason tn.

Those shoe/boot cleaners/scrapers would get wrecked out at trinity. Some of the mckinney courses actually had mud scrapers installed and after 1 year they were buried. The best thing for trinity is shoes with little to no tread. Enough to not slip(much) but not enough to dig in the mud.

Absolutely hate this course. So janky, it’s terrible when you can park a hole, and then role to 150ft…. It’s at best a B+ course. All of the locals have boosted its reputation and the history of the course has outweighed its actual play. unfortunately I wasted 7hours driving to the “best course in CA” when I could have gone to Golden Gate or Tahoe and played better courses, for 1/5 the drive time. I was so happy to hear many pros hate it too.
